"Yeah, damn. Most of the guys I fought back home were weak, he knew what he was doing I'll give him that." James snorted, tossing even more toilet paper in the trash.

Luke sighed, rubbing his forehead. "You deserved it," he said bluntly. He turned around and headed back to the kitchen, grabbing a cereal bar and flicking on the TV.

James arched an eyebrow, he wasn't sure if that was Luke who spoke to him right now.

James walked out of the bathroom to the living room where he saw Luke watching TV.

He couldn't believe that he even said that.

"What do you mean "I deserved it?" James asked offended.

Luke glanced over at him, from where he was stretched out on the couch, long legs dropping over the arm rest. He rested the TV remote on his stomach as he answered,fixing his eyes on the screen, "You can't let it go, can you? Maybe now you'll realize how dumb it is to hold onto something that's just going to get you beaten up. She moved on, her freaking boyfriend tried to off you." He glanced at James again, saying dryly, "Now do you get how stupid this is?"

James would never admit Luke was right out loud. He was too proud to ever admit he was wrong.

He nearly killed Evelyn's boyfriend tonight, hell they almost killed each other!

He felt so stupid for letting himself still have feelings for and he felt even more stupid for falling for Jake's bait.

James figured he wouldn't argue with Luke he had had enough of fighting for one night.

James walked over to the kitchen and went to make himself something to eat to absorb the alochol in his system.

Luke closed his eyes, exhausted. All that running around the city and that incident with teh damn panther snarling in his face wasn't the healthiest thing.

Abruptly, he opened his eyes again, a thought tickling in the back of his mind. Since they were already on that topic, he figured James could handle it. He had to get used to hearing her mentioned if he wanted to be okay with it all.

"How was your talk with Ev?" Luke asked sleepily.

James took a huge bit out of the sandwich he made, he came back to the living room and sat on the floor eating.

He looked up at Luke using his had as a napkin to get rid of crumbs on his mouth he swallowed answering, "Um it was interesting we agreed we'd try to be friends and start over and crap." He said taking another bite out of his sandwich.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke raised a blond eyebrow. "Yeah? Doesn't seem to be working out well on your end, I hate to say." He paused. "It'll take time to get used to this, I guess. Could you ever see her like, I dunno, like you see Ashlee?"

[Guest]

James shrugged, "I don't know dude, maybe sometime later, but now I still kind of have feelings for her. Trust me I would love nothing more than for her to be a friend to me just like Ash."

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke was silent for a moment and then spat out, "What the hell does Evelyn see in him? Like, I'd have thought given all that shit she said about your vices and whatnot, that she'd stay away from guys like him. I can tell, I can just tell he's exactly like you. I mean, he just doesn't seem like a decent guy."

[Guest]

"Well how the hell am I supposed to know that? If she likes the guy he must be decent no way she'd date someone like me." James announced putting his plate of his half eaten sandwich down besides him.

[Tiger-Lily]

"He has that cocky bastard vibe," Luke answered. He turned his head to look down at James, grinning slightly. "And come on, what sort of decent guy rubs in the fact that he has your girl, right?"

James thought this over, what Jake had said to him is something he would have done had it been the other way around.

James shook his head, "Dude who knows? After me Evelyn definitely said she wouldn't go after some guy like me."

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke tried hard to picture Jake as a committed, loyal and loving boyfriend. And failed. "I don't see it. But whatever, I just hope you're right and he's not gonna screw her over." He thought back to the two girls who had given James thier numbers that night. "Speaking of redheads, you going back into the dating game again? You have two new potential candidates."

James reached into his pocket pulling out the two numbers.
The two girls Anna and Marissa had given their numbers to him.

"Hmm prehaps, who knows."James said looking at their numbers.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke sat up, swinging his legs over to stand and kicking James in the back of the head accidentally. "Whoops. Anyways, I'm gonna crash." He stretched lazily, added "Dating, not sleeping around, James," and went to the bedroom, grabbing a loose tee and pants to change into. He returned to his bed and collapsed onto it facedown.

[[FF to Saturday evening Ashlee from Ashlee and Oriana's apartment]]

Ashlee decided since her and Evelyn wouldn't be hanging out until later, and since her brother canceled last minute for coming into town,and Oriana was always the last person she wanted to see that she would go pay Luke and James a visit.

Ashlee knocked on their door, and as she waited for one of them to answer she pulled out her pink Sharpie and wrote on their door, Ash was here with a heart and peace sign underneath.

James got up and opened the door and he saw Ashlee putting something into her purse, and he just shrugged looking down at the petite raven headed girl, "Hey Ash what brings you here?"

Ashlee walked in past James, "Oh well I had plans to hang with Ev, but she told me that we were hanging out later and Jesse never came to visit he has a test Monday and he needs to study so I figured I'd pay you two a visit." She said walking into their small apartment, it was pretty much the same size as her's and Oriana's.

Ashlee plopped down on the couch, setting her purse on the counter, she took out her phone and replied to a message, "Oh Lucas! Your best friend is here" She called to him, grinning.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Gee," Luke deadpanned, walking out from the bedroom where he'd been tuning his guitar; it hung from his hand. "what terrible sins have I committed to warrant this?" He shot a glance at James, adding, "He's the idiot who picked a fight."

[Guest]

"Gee someone is a grouchy pants, and what do you mean started a fight?" Ashlee asked looking from Luke to James.

James turned away, to ignore Ashlee's question and she tilted her head up to look at her lanky friend, "Luke what do you mean fight? You guys you have to remember I'm not as close to you anymore, I have to know about drama when it happens!"

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke sighed, glancing at his watch. "Um, long story short, James got into it with uh, Evelyn's uh," he couldn't believe this word yet, "boyfriend. Nothing major." He glanced at James' still-healing face and amended, "Not too major."

Ashlee looked at James and tutted, "Aren't you supposed to be making up, beating up her boyfriend isn't going to help you know?

James made a face at Ashlee and she made one right back, he shrugged, "Whatever the guy's a jackass, I don't want to talk about this."

"Suit yourself, so any big plans tonight boys? Its our first weekend in the city." She smiled, putting her phone down in her lap.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke snorted. "No, we had enough excitement this weekend, I think." He flopped onto the couch and then paused, sighed and stretched. "Apparently, Alexis knows Seth," he said to James. "I mean, I guessed she would, seeing as how Evelyn and Jake are whatever, but like, weirdly, she's um, friends or something with him."

"Wait Seth, have I met him?" Ashlee asked twirling her hair around her polished finger.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke shrugged. "Ev might've introduced you to him. He has this sort of brown hair, kinda looks like James but has a severe attitude problem. Oh and yeah, he's an idiot."

Ashlee nodded still not quiet remembering if she had met him or not but she shrugged, "So wait you mean to tell me Alexis likes hanging around this said idiot?"
