Athletic Facility - Gym A.

Alexis headed into the gym area with Luke, throwing her ball up and down in the air before catching it and looking around. "Wow- pretty big."She said, looking up to him instead, and dropped the ball down, catching it on the top of her foot.

Luke set down the bags of Chinese food on a bottom bleacher and then kneeled to tighten his laces. He smirked at Alexis as he stood, shy, blushing personality left behind now he was on his home turf: a sports arena.

"Let's do this."

Alexis grinned widely at him and shrugged off her bolero sweater, putting it on the bleacher by the food and reached up, pulling her hair back with the ponytail holder before kicking the ball up into her hands and backed up into spot.

They were tied. Luke was definitely losing his game. But, in his defense, he hadn't played soccer since eleventh grade. He'd been more toward basketball and then later, surfing.

He dribbled down the court, ducking past Alexis, and spinning to keep his back to her, and the ball safe.

Alexis quickly turned and intercepted, trying to steal the ball from him but instead just tripped a little, and fell right into him. In her own fairness- she hadn't played in a while and converses weren't probably the best idea to play in.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Foul," Luke commented, before Alexis knocked the wind out of him. Next second, his head hit the wooden court floor and a heavy weight landed on his chest.

"I think I see the wheelbarrow," Luke said dazedly, blinking.

"Go-gah, can't you be softer?"Alexis groaned into his chest slightly, cringing at her not so graceful fall on top of Luke before lifting her head and then froze, thinking about their current situation.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Softer?" Luke echoed, perplexed. He blinked up at Alexis, head throbbing. "No, Lex, I'm a man and I like to work on my pectoral muscles."

"...I-I can kinda tell."Alexis said, clearing her throat slightly as she blushed for what seemed like the 100th time that night before flinching as her arm stung and her elbow throbbed a bit from hitting the floor by Luke but tried to shrug it off.

It suddenly dawned on Luke just what this might have looked like to an unsuspecting bystander. His cheeks reddened. "Um..." It had just occurred to him that Alexis was still on his chest. She felt light, a tiny heap of clothes, except he could feel her panicked heartbeat through their chests.

"Lexie?" he managed to say. "You're um.." He didn't want to embarrass her. But this was getting uncomfortable, and not in a bad way either.

Which just made it somehow worse.

"I know, I know, get up."Alexis said, and put both palms down on the floor and went to push herself up before lightly falling back down as pain shot up from her elbow. "Ow."She mumbled, still looking to the side as she blushed even harder.

Today, of all days, she had to wear a tank top, in which if her chest was pressed against or pushed up a bit more, you could see a nice bit of cleavage.

This could probably only get even more awkward from here on out.

Luke cringed because she'd managed to nick him in the side wiht her elbow. He winced and said, "I think you impaled a rib, Lex."

"Sorry..."Alexis said softly with a wince for his own sake.

Luke opened his mouth to reply wen a whistle interrupted them.

"Fornicate elsewhere, kids, this is my turf," a guy in a baseball cap and sweats was jogging across the gym to the rack of basketballs nearby. Luke flushed.

"Move that to your dorm rooms, okay?" the big guy said.

Alexis' mouthed dropped open slightly and her cheeks flamed up to the fullest and she quickly scrambled to get up, all the while making sure she didn't beat up Lucas even more. She managed to get her footing and stood up off of him. "It soooo isn't what it looks like!"

[Tiger-Lily]

"I'm sure, girly," the guy said as he grabbed a basketball. "That's what the rest of them say."

Luke cleared his throat, embarrassed. He picked up the bags of Chinese food and Alexis' sweater. "Let's just go, Lex?"

Alexis nodded quickly, cheeks still as red as could be as she went over, taking her sweater and slipped it back on, flinching from her elbow.

Without realizing it, Luke grabbed ehr hand and pulled her out of he gym.

Evelyn could tell the puppy by her side was already exhausted from their run when they reached the gym. She bent and rubbed his back affectionately and Nova sat down on his rump, tongue lolling.

She recalled Jake saying she might not be able to take Nova in the gyms themselves. She could risk it.

She was a Freshman, after all.

She scooped up Nova when he widened those damnable brown eyes at her imploringly, and carried him, along with her backpack, into the main hallway of the Athletic Facility.

Gym A was open, and Gyms B to D were booked up. She headed there, glad to see that there was a barre along the side for stretching. She set Nova by the bleachers, where a few other people had left their stuff, and placed her bag beside him.

"Heel, boy," she said firmly, kneeling to kiss the top of his head and he barked once, but still wiggled in place like he was testing her. Jake had probably taught him that solely to piss her off.

Evelyn frowned and shook her head, standing up and walking to the nearest barre. She bent and touched her toes and then sat down and stretched out her legs, touching her fingertips to the toes of her Nikes in warm-up. When she lifted her eyes, they landed on a familiar dark head of hair.

For a painful moment, she thought it was James. But this boy had dark eyes and she relaxed an inch but still wondered why he seemed familiar. He was with another boy, also dark-haired and nearly identical. Brother, probably, and they were by the basketball net, making shots.

Jake had walked out of the locker room, where he had left his gym bag and sweater. He had his iPod in his hands, and slid it in his pocket putting his ear phones on and he decided he would run around the track to warm up.

He stretched a bit first taking a few deep breaths, then took off on the track in a steady jog.

Evelyn was almost done stretching. She reached out and held onto the tips of her shoes.

Antonio passed the ball to his twin, and spotted a bronze haired girl stretching, he took her in and couldn't help but feel like he had seen her somewhere before.

Probably around the gym or something, he decided he'd walk over to her and see if maybe he had met her somewhere else because he couldn't get that nagging feeling out of him that he really had seen her somewhere else.

Antonio walked over to her, and tapped her lightly on the shoulder, "Hey I know you probably hear this a lot, and its not some lame pick up line, but have I feel like I've seen you somewhere before."

He really hoped that maybe once he saw her up close that he would remember her, otherwise things could get really awkward.

[Tiger-Lily]

She glanced up, startled, and let go of her toes with a jerk. "Oh!" The guy she'd been trying to place was standing over her, a peculiar look on his face.

Evelyn blinked up at him when he spoke. "I was actually thinking that," she said. His voice was kinda familiar too.

Oh, God, is this what drunken hookup afternaths are like? she wondered dismally. "I'm sorry...uhh...Tig?" she asked cautiously. Why couldn't she remember anything?

Antonio stepped back a bit, and snickered, "Tig? No my name is Antonio, you can call me Tony though, what's your name?"

Evelyn frowned up at him, studying his face - and then it hit her.

Antonio was Jake's something-sort-of-middle name. She remembered thinking this....Tuesday night.

Oh crap. So it was that guy. The one Jake had chased off.

Evelyn's face warmed and she lowered her gaze. "Oh, right, I um...remember you." She didn't bother to explain who she was. If he didn't remember, so much less embarrassing for her.

A small growl cut their conversation short. Nova leaped off his prison bench and trotted over, yipping furiously at Antonio. Evelyn frowned and leaned over to lift the puppy onto her lap, stroking its head. "Sorry about that. He doesn't go around strangers much, I guess."
