"Actually, I only got three or four hours asleep so I crashed asleep instead of fell."Alexis smirked some, messing around on her iPhone. "She's really sweet, offered for me to stay there again if I needed."

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth snorted. "She earned that nickname. Don't let that fake smile fool ya. I have no idea how Jake puts up with her." He straightened a bit, running a hand through his dark hair adn grimacing at its color. "Thank you for buying such permanent dye, by the way. You couldn't have gotten a temporary one?"

"No because I don't feel like redoing my highlights all the time."Alexis said, playing Bejeweled on her phone. "It looks good on you so stop whining, you twit."

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth fiddled wiht his hair some mor ebefore the waiter brought their meal over. He set down the two plates of salmon with a bagel as a breakfast side.

"Awesome," Seth commented, plunging his fork into the fish before teh waiter even set down their cider. "Try this."

"The cider?"Alexis questioned, not sure if he meant the fish he was digging into or the cider the waiter had just set down as she sat up more.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth swallowed before anseering, "The salmon."

"Oh."Alexis nodded, grabbing her fork and took a nice amount, before eating it and grinned. "Wow."She said after she swallowed. "That's great."

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth finished his meal in relative silence. He had been starving. Neither he nor Jake were superb chefs and often too lazy to cook. When he took the last few swigs of his cider, he dabbed his mouth with his napkin, crumpled it onto his plate and said, "You have class today? Because this has the unfortunate effect of making you crash real fast."

"I do but like I said earlier, I'm skipping. Not up for it."Alexis said, before finishing her own cider and leaning back in her seat. "Thanks for showing this place to me by the way. it's really relaxing.."She nodded, looking around again.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth shrugged, gesturing to the waiter. The guy brought the bill over and Seth handed over his AmEx before turning back to Alexis. "We should get going. I have to make sure Lucifer didn't get into Jake's room and kill the mutt."

The waiter brought his AmEx and the receipt back. Seth grabbed both as the guy left, and then stood up, nodding at the exit. He dumped a ten dollar bill on the table and led the way out.

Alexis got up quickly, following after him. "And thanks for .. brunch."She said, smirking slightly as she rubbed at her eyes, careful of her eyeliner.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth shrugged again, entering the main hallway. He led the way through the lobby and out into the streets of Manhattan. Tucking his hands into his pockets, he debated making a detour to a pet store and getting some essentials. He glanced down at Alexis. "So what'll you do after this? Go back to your own room or hide out at Lo's?"

"Uhm- I probably need to go back to my room and finish packing my things or something. I dunno."Alexis sighed, clueless as to what to do. As Seth had said, Evelyn couldn't kick her out as she also paid for the room but she still didn't want to be stuck in that attitude.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth patted her arm before retucking his hand into his pocket as they entered the subway station. "Well, if you're lucky, she'll be at class or something." He stepped down towards the subway platform.

The northbound train came hurtling in as he checked his Rolex. "I have to go get pet supplies so I'll get off later than you." He entered the train as the doors split apart, grabbing hold of the nearest pole he could as it was chock-full.

Alexis stood beside him, looking around the subway and tensed a little, swearing she could have seen someone who looked much like Brett, and turned to face him, telling herself it was just a look-alike or her tired mind playing tricks.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth glanced down from yet another amusing Cover Girl poster. Alexis' face twitched and he frowned, nudging her with his elbow. "What? You look like you saw your ex-husband."

"N-nothing."Alexis mumbled quietly and squeezed in closer to him, glancing towards where she swore she saw him.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth blinked, trying to follow her gaze and seeing nothing but a mass of colourful clothing around them. "I was kidding about the ex-husband bit," he remarked, and then it dawned on him that she might just be thinking about something similar in a horrible way.

Seth glanced around them, blue eyes narrowed searchingly. He didn't see anyone he knew. Still, he let go of one of his handholds overhead and draped an arm around Alexis' waist, turning his feet so the subway's motion wouldn't throw him face-forward. "Relax," he said, keeping his tone deliberately light lest she freak out if he sounded panicked. "Brett's not stupid. Well, he is, but in that I-fail-health-class kind of way." Seth glanced at his other hand that was now wrapped firmly around the pole he was using to steady himself. His watch informed him it was nearing one forty-five. He tried to remember if Brett had told him about his schedule.

The train slowed as they reached Greenwich.

"I swear I saw him.. it's just m-my mind playing tricks on me probably."Alexis said, a self hopeful tone to her voice, gripping onto Seth's shirt a little out of fear that it wasn't though.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth decided to humor her and get off with her at the NYU stop. As they exited the train, he kept his hold on her, simultaneously scanning the vicinity.

His eyes landed on something and he swallowed. She wasn't hallucinating. He glanced down at Alexis under his arm and simply said, "Hey, let's forget about Ted Bundy for now." He sped up just a little bit, dragging her with him out onto the street.
