"You're disgusting," Evelyn muttered, feeling her temper rise. She mentally willed Nova to wake up and bite Jake's fingers off but the puppy merely lifted its head, blinked open sleepy brown eyes and then gave a happy yip when he saw the Spaniard.

Et tu, Nova? she fumed. "You know what, I think I hear hell and damnation calling you," she added to Jake.

Jake picked up Nova, petting his head and scratching his ears, hold the small dog in his arms. Although he was a little heavier, the dog was growing up and Jake was misisng out.

He looked up at Evelyn again and snorted, "I've been damned to hell since I was like nine or ten years old. I know Satan is waiting for me. Although I think he has bigger plans for Seth, but I'll probably be in a good position when I get down there. Maybe like assistant Satan? That would be fun don't you agree boy?" Jake asked Nova, who just yipped up at him in agreement.

Jake sighed, "They grow up so fast." He sniffled hugging the puppy.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn expelled a frustrated breath. "Weren't you leaving any time soon?"

[Guest]

"I am, I just wanted to see my dog one last time before I did though." Jake squished the puppy, who yelped in return and he loosened his grip on him, "Sorry little guy."

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn's eyes widened. "YOUR dog? You mean, MY dog," she corrected him irritably. She strode over and yanked the started pup out of his arms.

"Excuse me? No. You're clearly mistaken Red." Jake poked her in the head, taking Nova right back from her, "It was ME who found him! And you're lucky I'm real nice and let you keep him, because I could easily take him back!"

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn hadn't let go of Nova yet. She was holding him just under his forelegs while Jake had his hands around Nova's stomach. She yanked the puppy toward her, gritting her teeth. "I'd brain you to pulp before you even moved, asshole!" Nova gave a small whine, dangling in mid-air.

[Guest]

Jake narrowed his eyes at Evelyn and closed the space between them and yanked Nova back, "Please I'd shove Nova in my jacket and I'd climb out onto that ledge so fast, and which we all know by earlier demonstration you cannot handle heights I'd take him back."

[Tiger-Lily]

"I'd like to see you try! I'd shove you over that ledge before you put him in your dumb jacket!" she snapped, wrapping her arms around Nova's top half and tugging him to her chest. Nova gave another pitiful whine, eyes wide.

[Guest]

"Hey careful! You're gonna rip him in half!" Jake tugged him back, now holding Nova, "He's a puppy not one of your cheap dresses!"

[Tiger-Lily]

"My what dresses?" Evelyn raged, glad Alexis was out for the night so she could yell as loudly at him as she liked. Evelyn grabbed Jake's arms, tugging at them to loosen his hold, and slid one arm between his arms and the puppy to scoop Nova up, or at least, she tried. "You'll keep your damn mouth shut and leave if you know what's good for you, Salazar. WITHOUT my dog!"

Nova gave a tired huff and simply went still.

Jake gripped onto Nova tightly, no way was he letting go. "HEY! I'm just being honest if anything you should be grateful to me! Because of me you have Nova!"

[Tiger-Lily]

"That's a moot point!" Evelyn hissed, leaning over and and slipping her other arm between his and then was struck by a brilliant idea.

She tickled Jake's ribs, at the same time, yanking Nova to her.

Jake tried to stifle a laugh, as he loosened his grip on Nova for a brief second but quickly realized what she was trying to do, "Hey no fair!" He pouted reaching over and doing the same thing to her, tightening his grip on Nova.

[Tiger-Lily]

Nova gave a loud whine, possibly out of fear and because they were choking him. "You're hurting him!" Evelyn gasped, smacking Jake's arms and wrapping her own around the puppy, trying to turn her back to Jake to shield Nova from the Spanish idiot, but Jake had a good hold so she only succeeded in getting herself tangled in his grip instead. "Let go!"

Nova lifted his head and sent her what might be interpreted as a "are you serious?" glance.

[Guest]

"You let go!" Jake argued keeping his grip firm on Nova, but sort of getting tangled up with Evelyn.

[Tiger-Lily]

"You gave him to me!" Evelyn said shortly, trying to unlock her elbow so she could shove it into his ribs. She jiggled her arm and Nova pawed feebly at her and Jake.

Evelyn's elbow jerked free with a snap, reflexively slamming backwards into Jake's chest just as Nova's head shot up and he clamped his teeth into her hand angrily.

"Oww!" She stumbled, lost her footing and tumbled backward into Jake, almost dropping the puppy (who still clung onto her hand). "Shit!"

[Guest]

"Ah!" Jake grunted, stumbling and falling back grabbing Evelyn's arm to balance. Instead of standing straight he fell back onto the floor with Evelyn falling on top of him.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Thanks for the landing!" Evelyn grumbled, rolling off his chest and detaching Nova's teeth from the soft skin between her thumb and index finger. "Ah, crap." She propped herself up on one elbow as Nova growled and bounded off to the other side of the room and skidded under her bed.

Evelyn examined the drop of blood welling up on her hand. The puppy had broken skin and while it didn't hurt, it still stung like a bitch.

"Thanks a lot, Jake!" She shook out her hand and rolled onto her back to glare at him, but then realized he was too close for that and simply ended up knocking into his side before she'd moved an inch. Evelyn hastily rolled away onto her stomach instead, and propped herself up on her elbows.

"Ow quit it! You're hitting my liver! I need that!" Jake yelped, reaching over and yanking Evelyn's hair.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn batted his hand away, scornful. "Which is why you nourish it with tequila every night?" she asked wryly.

[Guest]

"Hence the need for my liver." Jake grinned, grabbing her hand and yanking her fingers.

[Tiger-Lily]

She shook her head at him and bit her lower lip, not liking the way her heartbeat kicked up a notch the instant he touched her. Evelyn pulled her hand back, feeling her cheeks color slightly as she looked down at her other hand. It felt icy where Nova had bitten her. Speaking of Nova...

Evelyn lowered her head so she could peer under her bed across the room. Nova's big brown eyes blinked worriedly at her and she cracked a smile. "Oh, great, he's terrified of us."

[Guest]

Jake sat up and saw Nova underneath Evelyn's bed, and Jake smiled at him crawling to him.

"Aww Nova, sorry. Come here boy." Jake said softly reaching out to him.

[Tiger-Lily]

Nova gave a low whine, remaining where he was.

Evelyn rolled over and sat up. "Smart dog," she remarked. "He doesn't want you rubbing your crazy all over him."
