"I don't wanna be popular," she mumbled as he tugged her along, remembering highschool. Popularity there had been fatal. "I hate crowds," she admitted as they entered the stairwell. "And I think Nova really needs to go."

The puppy was whining and fidgeting in her bag.

"Oh crap! Um... we should move faster than, you don't want him peeing on your fancy designer socks." Jake smirked, eying the number on the wall to inform him that they had been on the third floor so it wasn't too long of a walk down.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn tugged at his hand. "Run, then!" She jerked him down the stairs, now seriously worried. She loved that bag!

They reached the lobby and Evelyn let go of Jake's hand to yank open the front doors and darted outside, turning the corner of the building to let Nova out. He ambled over to a patch of grass where a small tree had been planted and Evelyn paused and leaned back against the wall to breathe.

Jake nearly stumbled down the flight of stairs when Evelyn jerked him down, they both had burst out of the lobby into the chilly autumn day,and was happy he had his sweater. He shrugged his shoulders to bring his sweater closer to him and then realized he had lost what was about his fourth apron in the last month!

"Ah crap! I left my apron in the elevator!" He pouted, "Damn it! That's like the fourth one I've lost this month, I have to keep paying for them too! How come is it that every time I'm with you, I lose articles of clothing!"

[Tiger-Lily]

"Don't cry over it," she replied, leaning her head back against the wall and squinting at him in the sunlight as he walked over to her and Nova. "It was one hell of an ugly thing anyways."

"Well no shit its ugly! When is a work uniform ever supposed to make you stop dead in your tracks and make you want to screw the person behind the counter? Almost never but they're such jackasses I have to pay like thirty bucks each time I lose it! HENCE the annoyance of losing said hideous apron." Jake informed Evelyn.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn clamped a hand over her mouth, but her shoulders shook with laughter. She coughed a few times to hold it off and then smirked at Jake, saying, "One word: Eric."

Jake scoffed about a million times and then got all sassy black girl with Evelyn, "Oh no you didn'!" He z-snapped, "Oooh girll you did not jus go therre, I know yo didn' nu uh." Jake said imitating the ghetto black girls that came into work.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn's smirk grew wider. "Oh, I just did. Just looking at Eric is enough to turn any nun into a whore."

Nova waddled over to where she leaned against the wall and sat down, nosing at a leaf.

"Wow.... who is this hoe and what has she done with Evelyn? I mean I know I'm a slut, but I didn't think I rubbed off on ya that much. Then again its probably all that Latin spice, huh?" Jake winked at her.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn reached over and smacked his arm. "Oh, yeah, Jake. In case you forgot, last time I got too close to spices, I nearly died."

Jake grabbed her arm, and looked down at her, "You didn't die, it was all that passionate flavor burning inside of you with desire, mon amourrr" He purred to her.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn felt her face heat up and attempted to tug her arm back, somewhat flustered. "I was talking about Sevilla's food. get your head out of the gutter!" she said quickly.

"Says the whore bursting into the flames at the church door." Jake smirked cheekily leaning against the wall.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn jiggled the arm he was holding and then gave up and smacked his shoulder with her other hand. "Says the heathen texting in church!"

"Um in case you don't remember! You were texting me, hence solidifying thine whorly status." Jake grinned, patting Evelyn's head.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn grabbed his hand, tugging it off her head and attempted to crush his fingers like she had earlier. "Okay, fine, I see how it is, you're probably damned anyways. You're just trying to corrupt my angelic status," she accused him victoriously. She tugged her arm free and pushed herself off the wall, keeping a tight grip on his hand.

"I've already corrupted you, except for the not putting out part." Jake snorted.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn opened her mouth, fumbled for a second and then let go of his hand instantly, reddening. She considered bashing his head back into the wall he was leaning against. "Bastard," she muttered as she glared up at him, furiously thinking of a good comeback. "I hope you're happy. Everyone thinks I'm a two-bit whore."

[Guest]

"I didn't mean for people to think you were a whore, besides I was only joking. Also I don't think you're a two-bit whore, give yourself some credit. You're at least a dime piece." Jake grinned, snapping a photo of the huffed up looking Evelyn on his phone, since she had deleted all the photos of her on his old one.

Jake chuckled looking at the photo, "Oh yes, you're angry baby! You're ferocious! Gimmie a scowl, growl for me baby, me-ow!" Jake pestered her like an obnoxious fashion photographer, snapping random flustered photos of her. Doing clawing motions with his hands, and making random growling and purring sounds.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn's jaw dropped. Man, what do I see in this kid again? she wondered, eying Jake angrily. No wonder they're all pro-James!

Still, Jake expected her to get angry, didn't he? So she didn't. Instead, she gave him her sweetest, most sugary smile, just a slight hint of a smirk on her lips and eyes no doubt betraying the impishness behind the gesture.

"Hmmm I've lost all inspiration for my work, although... I can make this work." Jake waltzed over to Evelyn's sweet sickly smiling self, and examined her a bit, nodding, "Uh huh... mmhmmm."

He then stood next to her and nodded a few more times, "Ahh perfect, hold that face." Just then Jake went in and planted another kiss on her lips snapping a photo on his phone and as soon as he heard the shutter sound he pulled away and prepared himself to flee.

Evelyn blinked, thrown off and a little disoriented. She threw him a confused look and shook her head. "What the hell was that for?"

"So I can blow it up and make it into a billboard on Times Square." Jake responded.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn threw up her hands. "I can actually see you doing just that," she exclaimed, feeling somewhat worn out. Talking to Jake was always an exercise in stupidity. Who could get to Dumbest first? Jake usually won.

Evelyn called Nova over and grabbed his leash, walking over and plopping down on a bench nearby. She stifled a yawn and then stretched, feeling her spine ache in response. God damn elevator. She blinked sleepily a few times. "Don't mind me if I crash right here."
