The GTR screeched to a stop after the twists and turns of the Upper East Side, Seth's home turf. He had grimaced entering it but he was relieved now as he parked alongside the curb.
"Sign says it's closed Fridays...I guess we'll have to find someone in there." He frowned, locking the car as he and Lola got out. No one had been injured in the drive over here and Seth had gone carefully.

Re: Manhattan Church of Christ
"Crap. Umm are there any other churches on this block? Maybe one that Evelyn found in her list." Lola said taking out the list from her purse and reading it.
There had been a few more but some of them seem far and this one was here. Even so a church was never really closed. It was Friday during Lent, there was bound to be people going in and praying and such.
"Come on Seth." Lola said dragging Seth by his good arm into the church.

"Um.." Seth swallowed, cringing as he entered the building. "Lola, maybe I should wait outside?" He just felt weird being in a religious place when he wasn't really one for religion.

Lola stalled looking up at Seth she tilted her head. "Seth its a church, not hell. Come on we're just gonna be in and out. No one is asking you to become a priest."

"I'd probably be more comfortable in hell," Seth remarked. He trailed after her reluctantly, fiddling with his keys as they entered. He swallowed and they made their way up the rows of pews. He wondered how Jake walked in here on Sundays without cringing.
They headed towards a side door, where the personal offices of the pastors were. Seth nudged Lola ahead of him, nearly knocking her into a pew. "Chri - uh...sheesh, Lassie," Seth amended hastily, seeing people look their way. "Sprawl in prayer later."

Re: Manhattan Church of Christ
Lola cursed mentally since she couldn't verbally in a church. She had to resist every fiber in her body to keep her from beating up Seth. She took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as they walked down the aisle, where she spotted the pastor near the front of the church.
She gulped, approaching him his back facing them. Lola cleared her throat tapping his shoulder lightly. "Excuse me father, I don't mean to disturb you but I uh... I have a question I want to ask you, if you have the time to answer." She asked nervously. Lola could never explain why she always got so antsy in a church.

Seth fidgeted nervously while Lola talked to the pastor. He wasn't even sure if it was supposed to be this pastor. How many pastors did a church have? Some of the addresses were outdated, Evelyn had mentioned.
The pastor seemed to be agreeing though, and he wasn't kicking them out for being lunatics.

"I uh... I know this may be or it might sound odd to you but." Lola gulped why was she acting as nervous as Seth. It wasn't like she had done anything bad. But what if this wasn't even the right pastor! What if she sounded like an absolute nut job and the poor man had her locked up?
"I uh... have a friend. And um we have reason to believe that he is under well not under but uh.. we have reason to believe that..." Lola lowered her voice because she honestly didn't want other people hearing this. "We have reason to believe he is possessed by a demon and we were told that you could help us get rid of it."

Re: Manhattan Church of Christ
Thankfully, they got lucky.
The pastor did in fact happen to have a discrete operation not well advertised to his regular churchgoers.
He talked to them about the situation for a bit and then said that he would be over that night .
"Um," Seth muttered, "We kind of have him trapped right now..." The pastor paused and said he had a few religious duties he still had ot perform to prepare so he wouldbe over as soon as he oculd.
Seth and Lola were free to go.
Seth cursed the instant he exited the church. "Fucking hell, what now? We should head home before Jake eats Red." He dove into his car.

Lola cringed. Hopefully the pastor finished quickly this was serious. God only knew what was happening back at the dorms. Sure Evelyn had done her research, but what if some of the traps didn't contain Jake, or worse what if he broke out of one.
Lola just nodded in agreement with Seth getting into the car after him so they both could head back.

Seth ignored traffic rules, driving with one hand like a maniac to campus.
