Ashlee waved, "Morning Luke, and nope I haven't talked to her since the night of that party. I was in class all day yesterday and was pretty much in social isolation mood? Why what's up?" She asked.

In answer, he did what James had done, selected the video and slid his phone toward her across the table. "James got this video message from Ev yesterday. Ev's phone. We don't know if it was her who sent it." He rested his elbows on the table, chin resting on his palms.

Ashlee watched the video, on Luke's phone, she listened to it and looked at what was someones hand, then a window, he heard Evelyn's voice, and Jake's voice and they both sounded tired.

It sounded like they had just... but Evelyn wouldn't? Would she?

Then again the video wasn't very clear, Ashlee's blue eyes examined it and she thought that she would have to be thoroughly convinced if it was a sex tape or if thats what it was supposed to be it was a very terrible one.

"Um if this is supposed to be a sex tape, its pretty bad." Ashlee said out loud. She paused. "James saw this?" She said this carefully.

[Tiger-Lily]

"And called Ev," Luke confirmed, grimacing as he remembered the look in James' eyes. "And basically told her he wished she was miserable for the rest of her life and died alone." He bit his lip. "He, um, also threw his phone at the wall....it was ugly, Ash. I've...I haven't seen him this distraught since his dad's funeral. A-and...he was talking suicidal. Seriously freaked me out," he murmured, worry lacing his words.

Ashlee let out a long sigh, this situation between James and Evelyn had really gone overboard, but in a way it was almost kind of a good thing that meant that maybe they would both finally move on and this could probably end.

"Is he okay now? I mean if you think about this... its kind of a good thing. They'll both be able to move on, still poor guy. I can't even imagine." Ashlee said sympathetically, she couldn't imagine how he was feeling but I'm sure Evelyn wasn't feeling any better.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke scratched his head. "I told him it was a good thing too. I don't know if he believes it...but you think Ev would-I mean...with Jake? Of all people? And send it to James? She's a bitch but this is just cruel even for her."

Ashlee shrugged, "I don't know Luke, I mean you're right she wouldn't do something like this but she was probably trying to change since she's in a new place, but I don't know honestly I want to talk to her. What if this is all just some big misunderstanding. It could be anything, it could have been an accident for all we know. She probably didn't even mean to send it, she does have an iPhone, its all touch screen and crap."

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke frowned. "If it wasn't what it looked like, I'd love to know - actually, no I don't wanna know what she's up to. I don't like Jake. Haven't since the moment I met him last Friday. He was all rubbing the fact that he's going out with Ev in James' face."

"Honestly I really don't have too much of an opinion of him, other then him calling me pretty. He was concussed and helping us find Alexis last weekend but if him and Evelyn really did do what we think they did then he's a real jerk. Plus guys, most guys rub it in other guys faces when they're with someone else's girl. You may not Luke, but that's how the rest of your species functions." Ashlee pointed out looking down at her phone.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Well, James beat him up good for that," Luke said, feeling this was still cruel regardless what Ashlee said. "Still...I don't know what to do. We have that Niagara trip coming up that Seth set up. And James and Jake in close quarters for like however long it takes to gt there..."

He checked his watch. "You need to talk to Ev. Like, fast."

"I'll talk to her Luke don't worry, but I just don't want to rush too fast into this. You're right its cruel if it is what we think it is, but we don't know and I don't want treat her like a leper because of it, she's my friend." Ashlee said firmly, she took out her phone and texted Evelyn.

Hey girl! You busy later, if not we should get together I miss you!

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke suddenly thought of Alexis and how Evelyn had said she had taken James' news. "James told Alexis," he said to Ashlee. His mouth twitched in a not-so-amused smile. "And she does kind of give Ev the "leper" treatment, as you call it. And thing is, she didn't even see the video."

[Guest]

Ashlee's mouth fell open, "Are you serious? How can she... she didn't even see it? How does she know if James is even telling her the truth or not? Not that he would lie about something like this, but come on the world we live in. Honestly I'm not even thoroughly convinced Jake and Evelyn had sex in this video either. I need like hardcore evidence, like moaning, some groaning. But still!"

Ashlee found it hard to believe that Alexis had already sided with James, she was under the impression that Alexis and Evelyn were butt buddies, and if anything she was even a bit envious of their new found friendship, but now she didn't know what to expect, she couldn't believe something like this was tearing at their friendships.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke found himself trying not to laugh at Ashlee's bluntness. Some things just never changed, and he was glad she hadn't.

But this was a serious topic. He sobered, allowing himself one full, dimpled grin. "I'm not really surprised Ev and Alexis fell out. Alexis hasn't got the best track record when it comes to friendships."

"Once again I can't say too much about Alexis we barely talked in high school and I'll admit the old Ashers here was a bit jealous of these two. I mean they were living in a dorm having fun and I have The Wicked Witch of Midtown." Ashlee said thinking back on her fake black haired roommate.

"But I guess she doesn't, but I don't know Alexis seems normal, nice even. I guess looks can be deceiving. Lucas we're the only normal ones in our insane group of friends. Embrace it, just like how I've embraced your four stomachs, and my midget height." She said reaching him over and patting him on the shoulder, grinning.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke glared at her half-heartedly, but he chuckled. "Six," he corrected her.

Ashlee kinked an eyebrow at him, "Hey, I made you sound skinner. Take it as a compliment!" Ashlee gasped in relization, "Lucas! We should enter you in the Hot Dog Eating Contest, they have at Coney Island here in the city every summer! You'd so win!"

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke laughed. "That sounds intimidating. I bet they have bigger gluttons than me in the City."

[Guest]

Ashlee shook her head, "No actually all the winners are these like little Asian dudes that look like the people in my math class, cause when I ask them for help they ignore me."

Ashlee pushed a piece of hair away from her face and went on, "I mean hello! I'm the hottest girl in that math class, I did them a favor!"

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke snorted and shook his head. "Yes, Ash, listening to your incessant chattering about glitter is something they wake up looking forward to."

[Guest]

Ashlee licked her lips, "First of all I haven't talked about glitter since we've dated, second of all, they were probably intimidated by me because for once I was actually taller than someone in my life, and third of all Farrell you know you looked forward to it, in a world full of angry James, bitchy Evelyn's and um... All our other friends whose names I've forgotten cause we've scared off.. we're the best. I'm the ray of sunshine, the silver lining, the comic relief." She grinned.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke laughed again, shaking his head. He combed his disarrayed blond hair back out of his face then said, "I get where you're going. It's nice to wake up and only see the positive side to things. I kind of wish I could too."

"Luke there are plenty of days when I wake up and say "fuck life." But honestly you create your own good and bad days my opinion. For the most part I don't think you're pessimistic but you're not an optimist either. You're sort of balanced. Like an Oreo cookie, okay maybe not that... but I can't think of anything at the moment. What I'm saying is.... actually I don't know what I'm saying, but I know I'm making you laugh so that's all that matters." Ashlee smiled, her turquoise eyes glittering.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke flashed her a grateful smile, relief in his golden-brown eyes. "Considering how much I need comic relief, thanks. I seriously owe you."

"Its nothing Luke, but if you feel like you do owe me, you can walk me to my "Ashlee goes to Tokyo" math class and we can call it even." Ashlee giggled thinking of all the Asian kids in her class now dressed up like Pokemon trainers.
