"So someone can just wave a shiny coin under your nose and voila - Jacob's gone," Evelyn snickered, and then elbowed him simply because he was within range. "Penny for your thoughts?"

"Actually can you make it a dime, I'm broke." Jake snorted.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Didn't Ashton pay you back?" she asked, surprised. And then she stifled a grin. "Oh no, you're just back to being Scrooge again!"

Jake then took his turn to nudge Evelyn, "I am not! Just since Vegas, I've been kind of broke is all."

[Tiger-Lily]

"Um, yeah, considering you geniuses took the Rain Man suite!" Evelyn remembered. She stifled a sudden laugh. "I should go bitch to Kelsey about how you sold my gorgeous engagement ring. I'm sure she'd have tons to say about that."

"I'm sure Kelsey would come back and say to you. "Why would you want to keep something that society deems as a man owning a woman?" So she'd be on my side." Jake grinned, "Besides I told you, you could have it to do with you want with it but you insisted I take it."

[Tiger-Lily]

"Um, I highly doubt keeping that thing would have gone over well with, well, anyone," Evelyn said, losing her smile and starting to feel slightly uncomfortable at the remembrance of Vegas and a drunk wedding night. She bit down on her bottom lip as they neared their dorm building. "Anyways, I was just kidding. That thing would be like a bitchslap about my mess-up every day for the rest of my life whenever I looked at it."

"True." Jake said feeling his mood drop a bit, but he didn't want to think about that. Instead he poked Evelyn's cheek, "Hey its over! Don't think about it. Think about something happy like um... puppies and bunnies prancing through a meadow of flowers or something."

[Tiger-Lily]

This imagery brought Evelyn's walk to a complete halt. She turned and shot Jake a bemused look. "I'd personally take a walk in traffic. It'd be a bit more exciting."

Puppies...oh, wait.

"You think everyone else is inside?" she asked, pulling away from Jake so she could readjust her bag before it slid off her shoulder. "Because Nova is at your place with Luce if I'm correct."

"Crap! Um they should be, I mean I heard Seth wanted to have a snowball fight but its freezing out. I doubt they stayed outside that long, I'm sure they're all back by now." Jake said reassuringly before taking out his phone and texting Seth.

Um are you guys back at the dorms?

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth replied after a moment, Yes. Take ur time. ;D

Evelyn watched Jake expectantly. "They're home?" She hitched up her bag again and walked around to his right side, since his left hand held his phone, and slipped her arm around his waist, shivering. For some reason, her phone buzzed a few times, and she wondered if her friends assumed she'd been abducted.

Jake raised his eyebrow and shrugged off Seth's text, "Yeah they're all back at the dorms."

[Tiger-Lily]

"Awesome, let's go rescue Nova from Seth," she said, somewhat worriedly. She pulled away and yanked open the door of the lobby, holding it behind her for him, and then crossed the lobby quickly, stabbing the call button for the lift.

"Just fine, no need to be awkward Red. We're friends, not inmates. I'm not gonna shank you." Jake joked, as they walked across campus the snow falling everywhere.

Although why try and deny that things weren't awkward. Jake had spent most of his weekend trapped in his room and not even speaking to any of the guys in the dorms. So he was far from fine currently. But Jacob had to act like he was okay.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn forced a laugh and then heaved a sigh right after that. "Well, I mean, I won't deny this will take some adjusting." She tucked her gloved hands into her coat pockets. "So on a normal front."

She walked around a bench in their way and continued, brushing snow-flaked hair out of her face. "I called your mom but the phone went to voicemail. I didn't try on Sunday because I remembered your family goes to church and all. I'll try when I get home." She nudged him playfully and then skipped over a snow dune and landed with a soft thud, feet sending up a fine powder of snow around her. "I figure I should give her a chance to tell me I'm a harlot," she added, grinning. "So I'll have a lot of long pauses."

"My mother may be a Catholic woman, but trust me. If you're a whore, she will call you a whore. She get's fiery when she's angry. " Jake snorted. Kicking up snow as he walked.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn cringed,, spinning to walk backwards so she could look at him. She walked just in front of him, enough to stay out of range of his snow kicks. "Oh, that's helpful. Well, whatever makes her believe her little boy was never in the wrong," she said in a sing-song voice.

"Uh huh." Jake said focused on kicking snow as high as he could.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn stopped walking backwards and frowned at him. "Jake - "

She was facing him, and Jake wasn't looking as he drew nearer. His foot kicked a handful of snow into her mouth. She gagged and choked and spluttered, spitting it out. "JACOB!"

Jacob stopped in his tracks, and looked up at Evelyn, "Huh what?" He noticed she was covered in snow and pulled a face. "My bad."

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn glared at him and then continued walking straight. "Where is your car anyways?"

Jacob spotted his car, "There." He said taking out his keys and unlocking it. He cleaned the snow off his windshield that had fallen before getting in and starting up the car.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn strapped herself into the passenger seat. As Jake pulled out of the parking lot, she pulled out her phone to continue typing her text to James.

Lola stopped and looked at all three of them. This had disaster written all over it. But what the hell, they had done crazier things like kidnapping Nova and it worked. "Um okay... this sounds like an epic failure. But Ashton and I need stuff for the musical, so we'll try it out."
