Connor stepped in and watched Ashlee shut the door before looking over at Evelyn and gave a small nod though he wanted to make some smartass comment to her just to piss her off like usual but this was Ashlee and he had to make a good impression if she was ever gonna say yes!

Ashlee gulped widening her eyes a bit, she knew what Connor had come to do, god this had to be so awkward. She really hoped that he would have come by after Evelyn had left because she knew she was gonna get lectured by her after he left.

"Yeah Connor?" Ashlee asked him.

Evelyn rubbed her hands over her face. If this was awkward for them, it was beyond uncomfortable for her. She was fighting down an instinctive rude comment.

Connor paled a little and he gulped. What was wrong with him? With any other girl he'd be just like " 'Ey, you me, formal? Then a little fuck afterwords." but with Ashlee it was damn hard to ask her to the formal.

He bit hard on his bottom lip and took a deep breath. "Would you like to go to formal with me?" He sputtered out quickly, his words squished together.

Ashlee gnawed at her lip, she looked Connor in the eyes and then looked away. She knew that she would feel bad turning him down, but at the same time it was terrible to have to lead him on. She was torn but she could tell it took a lot for him to come here and ask her like that!

Ashlee threw a glance at Evelyn who was still silent and Ashlee took a deep breath and smiled weakly, "Sure, Connor. I'd love to go."

Connor's face brightened and he smiled quickly. "Really?? I mean- that's great- I mean, uh, that's cool." He stammered and cringed.

Ashlee felt sick to her stomach, now she really felt bad. But she figured after formal maybe the damn potion would wear off, or she could move to Fiji. Ashlee nodded and forced a smile, "Yeah I'm sure it will be a lot of fun."

Connor smiled brightly and nodded. "Um- Okay, well, I...I'll talk to you later about when to come pick you up and um. Yeah."

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn was rubbing her forehead. "Ahem," she said finally, getting impatient with keeping her mouth shut. "Ash still has to get a dress, Connor."

Connor paled again, swallowing hard. He was a broke idiot ever since he started college and the job at Dylan's didn't really pay much. He couldn't buy Ashlee a good enough dress for her beauty, even though, either way, she'd out shine it by far! But she still deserved the best. "Oh. Um. Yeah!"

Ashlee glared at Evelyn and then looked at Connor, "Connor you don't have to get me a dress, really." She said, it was bad enough she was leading him on! She didn't want to make him buy her a dress, he wasn't Seth!

[Tiger-Lily]

"You don't have to buy her a dress," Evelyn said pointedly. "But come on, you couldn't even bring flowers?"

"Well I planned.. I.." Connor stammered and began to rub his hands together nervously. What had he planned? Nothing. Shit, that whore had a point for once.

[Guest]

"Connor really its okay." Ashlee pat his arm, "You can get me a flower for the formal okay? I really don't need much, I'm a simple girl!" Ashlee stated hoping Evelyn would stop.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn threw Ashlee a disbelieving look. There was a difference between being a "simple girl" and being a girl who really didn't seem to realize how she should be treated.

And okay, so Evelyn was inherently biased against Connor too....

"Well, gee, for someone with so much experience with the ladies, you're sure lacking the basics, Simmons," she stated somewhat icily, remembering how he'd accused her of being something she wasn't. Well now she'd be worse.

Connor wanted to shoot Evelyn a icy look but decided to ignore her, since his stomach was churning nervously enough as it was. He bit at his bottom lip and kept his gaze on Ashlee instead. "I'll um- I'll call you, ok?"

"Yeah that's fine Connor we'll talk more about this later.... ALONE!" She put heavy emphasis on that. She knew Evelyn was trying to get Ashlee to realize just what Connor would do for her since he was under the potion, but she felt guilty enough as it was.

Ashlee showed Connor out and closed the door behind her and walked back in glaring at Evelyn.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn shrugged at her and hastily grabbed a shoe out of Nova's mouth when he trotted over. "No, boy, didn't Lex teach you not to do that?" she asked absently, picking up her pen again. She had her phone in her other hand and felt a small smile tug at her mouth.

Connor shook his head and headed back to his car, thankful that went okay.. with ASHLEE at least, which was the most important part. But he still felt nervous.

Ashlee rolled her eyes at Evelyn and went to go sit on the couch, "Ev honestly, he was nervous enough having to ask and I feel bad enough for leading him on."

[Tiger-Lily]

"You should've said no then," Evelyn answered shortly, putting her phone down and returning to her textbook.

[Guest]

"But then I would have felt bad to reject him." Ashlee retorted, not that that was much of an argument but it was the truth.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Better than him waking up and realizing you were leading him on by saying yes," Evelyn pointed out ruthlessly.

[Guest]

Ashlee sighed folding her arms over her chest, "Well maybe the damn potion will wear off before then and he'll ask a ho instead!"

[Tiger-Lily]

"It's getting stronger," Evelyn answered. She sighed and got to her feet, packing up her books. "I'm gonna head home. Having trouble focusing and I have to go call some guy who gave me his number and con him into taking me to the formal."

She flashed a weak half-smile at Ashlee and left.
