James came out of the stair well seeing his box near the elevator doors, he must have left it there when he was carrying other boxes up to their dorm, he grabbed his box and noticed the elevator had been on the lobby floor, he opened it up first and saw the things in there which were a few photos and such and sighed in relief that no one had stolen them.

He saw that a few people were walking in and he ran in before the doors closed, leaning his back against the wall of the elevator.

Antonio watched the controller fly, and he rolled to get it and quickly attack the evil zombies that were trying to take him and Seth down, "Die bitches die!" He shouted pressing multiple buttons, there was a fatal sounding music on the screen and he cringed, "Sorry man I killed you."

Luke glanced around when someone walked out of the bathroom.

Oh my freaking God....

It took him a moment to recognize the purple-haired boy.

"Joel?!" he exclaimed, blinking a bit. "What the hell?!"

Evelyn let the elevator close when the last guy had shoved himself in - along with his box. She didn't really look up from her iPod so all she saw was a flash of brown hair.

When the lift began to move, there was a sudden yelp of pain from a blond girl standing near the back of the elevator.

Everyone glanced around, and Evelyn lifted her eyes to throw the blond a curious look before looking back down.

"Your box is on my...my foot!" the girl squealed, squeezing herself away.

"Friendly fire's off, dude," Seth said mournfully. "That zombie bitch grabbed me from behind...you know, we'd rock if there were a real zombie invasion."

"As long as you had about fifty lives," Ashton said irritably, getting up to clean his dripping hand.

Joel furrowed his brows for a second before his eyes shot wide with shock and his jaw slacked open, his mind racing.

"Luke? From High School? LUKE?" Joel asked, his tongue tripping over his words as he reached up and pushed his hair back, blinking in shock still as a slight smile tugged at his lips.

James lifted the box of the girls foot, "Hey its not like I meant to do it on purpose." He said irritably, there was one thing he hated about moving was having to lug crap around with him everywhere.

"Dude knowing my luck I'd need about a million in a zombie invasion. Actually I think I'd fair pretty well, but I'd probably trip over something gay like a garbage can and break my leg leaving me as zombie chow." Jake said putting some thought into this situation now, if Manhattan were suddenly overrun by the undead.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke burst out laughing abruptly. "You have got to be kidding me! Damn, Joel, what the hell are you....where'd you..wow." He shook his head and walked over to give Joel a one-armed hug, thumping his shoulder. "What're you doing here, dude?"

Seth snickered as he quit the game. He glanced down at his phone and replied to Jake before turning around and looking up at the Spaniard standing behind him. "If it came down to you and me, I wouldn't even have to trip you, dude. You'd probably decide to go scale a building to go save some random mutt and get eaten." He paused and added, "I got your fine, by the way."

Evelyn froze up and felt the blood rush from her face. She could recognize that voice, anywhere. Oh God, oh God, get to the fifth floor, get to the fifth floor.

The elevator stopped at the first floor and Evelyn swore quietly, ducking her head. But it was futile. As the elevator emptied, she knew he'd see her hair, and he'd know in an instant.

What was he doing here?

Moving day....

No, she thought desperately, turning up the volume on her iTouch accidentally. Anything but that!

The blond girl threw James a mildly annoyed look and sauntered out with a couple more people. There were about four people left in the elevator - and no hiding spot. Evelyn closed her eyes and turned her head to the side away from James, but now that she knew exactly where he was, her nerves were jangling on high alert.

Joel returned the gesture and let out a brief laugh of his own as he parted from Luke, his grin broader than before in a face splitting sort of way. He reached up and tousled the back of his hair.

"Well I came here for college, you know, what with New York City kind of being my first home." He explained with a chuckle. "What about you, what brought you here?"

It'd been awhile since Joel had seen a familiar face other than Taylor's, so to see someone else who brought back even the slightest air of familiarity was refreshing to say the least.

Jake arched an eyebrow, "A fine, what fine?" He asked, what the hell was Seth talking about.

James watched the bitchy blond girl get off the elevator, and as the elevator stopped on the first floor and most of the people cleared out, he saw the noticeable bronze hair that no one could ever really miss, and nearly stopped breathing.

He knew he was going to run into her eventually, but he didn't think it would be so soon. James watched her hunched over sort as if she was trying really hard to hide, which obviously wasn't working. James wasn't sure whether or not he should say anything.

"Music. Julliard was my thing. I'm hoping I'd get in as a late entry into their program because my dad was always saying it was a...girly thing to do, if you will. SO now I'm here, I can focus on my music without him bitching at my mom over raising a "pansy boy"", Luke said cheerfully.

Seth grinned, flicking through his Facebook. He debated making a fake account as a creepy bum and harassing/stalking Lola.

Then again, Lola considered him a creep already. Maybe just a bum then?

"Your fine. For the wall," he said to Jake. Ashton leaned over and grabbed Antonio's controller.

Evelyn felt like a bug trapped in a glass jar. She swore under her breath and exhaled quietly, tucking one hand into her jeans pocket and the other holding her phone to tug anxiously at her patterned scarf, still not looking at any point near James.

She could practically feel the tension curdling in the air. She needed to breathe. She needed to get the hell away from him and that other jackass. She glanced at her phone as the elevator creaked and began to move upwards again. One more floor....

So she was sure James knew it was her. She'd practically FELT his glance. But he didn't say anything. So neither did Evelyn.

She sighed. Part of her wanted to tell Ashlee what had gone down between her and Jake and another part felt kind of ashamed to admit she'd been scared by a bad-tempered jerk. But she didn't want to bring up any more mention of him today.

Jacob cringed, and looked up at Seth, "Dude I'm sorry about that, how much was it I'll pay you back as soon as I get paid." He felt bad, because he knew Seth's laundry incident wasn't nearly as expensive to whatever damage he had done to their wall.

James felt beyond awkward in the tiny space, and he took a deep breath trying to remember that it was normal to breathe, not suffocate. He had to talk to her but they didn't have to make up at this very second, and he could tell by how tense she was that she was trying really hard to avoid him.

His blue eyes fell on her bronze head and he stretched his arm out and tapped her lightly on the shoulder, "Hey.." He said quietly, smiling nervously. Although he had a real gut feeling that she was going to ignore him and he didn't blame her.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Forget about it," Seth said, busy with his phone again.

His smile widened. "So guess what? Your favorite person in the world is now here. We're celebrating."

Evelyn tried not to jump about ten feet into the air. Her stomach knotted with jitters. She closed her Facebook and paused her song, pulling out her earphone and shrugged her shoulder to get his hand off.

"Hi," she said stiffly.

Jake rolled his eyes, "No matter what you say Seth you're not my favorite person, but I'm always down to party." He grinned, he definitley needed a pick me up after today's horrfying events.

James jumped back a bit himself, he didn't mean to scare her. Then again he saw her taking out her headphones and realized that she hadn't heard him, but she probably wasn't expecting him to say anything either.

"In case you didn't hear, Luke and I moved in today, we're both up on the seventh floor." James informed her in case Luke or Ashlee hadn't said anything, but then again he did remember telling Evelyn that they might move in if something had opened up.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth shook his head and neglected to correct Jake. "So we need some drink and we need some girls." He sat up, replying to James.

Ashton snickered. "Are you going to go chasing after those two again?" he asked Seth, amused.

"What two?" Seth asked, clueless.

"Those girls from Saturday night. If I recall, they kept trying to kick us out."

Seth grinned. "Hey, that might be fun..." He glanced at Jake and then remembered reality. "Or not. We'll leave them alone."

"Oh," Evelyn muttered, rubbing her shoulder. She looked around and the doors miraculously opened. She tried not to look too relieved. "That's, that's, uh...going to be interesting."

She glanced down at her phone when it buzzed.

Ashlee:
I'm not saying to press the emergency stop button and be like "TAKE ME NOW JAMES" and producing his pretty blue eyed babies

I'm not having this conversation.

Evelyn's whole face reddened all over again and she hastily looked at the floor. "I'm gonna, uh, I'll see you around," she squeaked, completely unnerved. She was going to KILL Ashlee. Like she really needed to think about THAT. Definitely not in connection to James.

She stepped hastily out of the elevator, her cheeks still brilliantly red. She didn't dare look James in the eye, she felt so mortified right now. She really hoped he never found out what she and Ashlee had been talking about.

James pulled a face as Evelyn got off the elevator after the doors had closed, that had to be one of the most awkward conversations he had with a girl or anyone for that fact ever.

James sighed and finally the elevator came up to the seventh floor, he got off walking back to their suite he opened the door walking inside and dropped his box in his room with his other stuff, his phone buzzed and he replied to Seth who was obviously really excited that they had moved into the dorms, and was already planning a party in honor.

James hoped he met his roommates before then so he could ask if it was alright if Seth and them came up and destroyed the place, "Hey Luke you there?" James hollered.

Jake coughed to move on from that subject, "Yeah we need a new crowd of chicks." Jake suggested, the last person he planned on seeing was Evelyn.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth nodded. He frowned. "Doesn't Lassie have hot friends? Ask her?" he suggested. "I can call a few up."

"Dude," Ashton said. "I do not want your booty calls. Get some new girls!"

Evelyn headed to her suite and unlocked it, sending Ashlee a text. U wanna do something tonite? Need 2 get out. x--x

Luke glanced around as James entered. He and Joel were in the living area. Luke waved James over. "Yep. Right here. Guess who we're rooming with?"

Joel felt his blissful mood from being reunited with Luke fleeing as he heard another familiar voice that caused him to instantaneously tense as he looked to entryway (yeah, IDK) of the living area to see none other than James. While he and James were civil and on okay grounds with one another, he couldn't exactly say the were all that close.

He forced a slight smile and gave a faint wave.

"Hey, long time no see." He said with a slight nod.

Jake finally had gotten himself a new Blackberry to replace his old one he figured he would text Lola and see what she was up to, he hadn't talked to her in awhile, he needed someone to talk to that wasn't Seth anyway.

Hey you doin anything tonight?


Lola had been doing her homework and she read the text from Jake, she responded back,

Hey not much, Brooke and a few more of my friends are coming over, the seventh floor is having a floor party tonight? Come on up it will be fun

Jake got the text and he read it and said out loud, "Lo told me her friends are coming to her dorm tonight, seventh floor is having a floor party tonight do you guys wanna hit that up?" He suggested as a change of scenery.

James came out into the living area and saw Luke standing there with a purple haired guy, and as he approached James realized that the purple hair belonged to Joel?!

Joel Madison? Out of all the people to have as a roommate, he had to admit he remembered Joel's bright red hair, so he had to kind of do a double take upon seeing him. James for the most part didn't really have any bad ground with the guy, except for the fact that they both liked Evelyn at one point at the same time.

Although Joel had gone out with Alexis, so that pretty much made James still the only one liking Evelyn, "Hey yeah, same to you. Your hair it ain't red anymore I almost didn't recognize ya." James said trying to be friendly, he figured if they were gonna be rooming together he could at least try not to make things too awkward.

Ashlee read her text from Evelyn and responded, Sure you know I'm always down to go out, any places you have in mind?

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke cleared his throat, realizing the sudden dilemma. "So, um, I saw a flyer for a floor party here tonight. We came at the right time, evidently. It's going to be a good way to meet people."

Seth frowned at his phone, not responding.

"Sure," Ashton said. "Anything but studying for my bloody math test."

Evelyn greeted her roomie as she entered the kitchen. Nova attacked her ankles from where he was gorging down his lunch.

"Hey, puppy," she said as she leaned down to ruffle his head, mood brightening just a bit - till she remembered Nova's former owner and her mood soured again.

She grabbed a granola bar and went to her room, followed by Nova. She replied back ot Ashlee: ANywhere. Just far from campus.

"Yeah? That sounds great." Joel said, nodding and looking back to Luke with a slight smile.

"Ohh sweet, nothing like a party to properly welcome us to the dorms huh?" James nudged Luke winking.

"Okay, I'll let her know." Jake took out his phone to let Lola know that they were coming and he looked up at Seth who had suddenly looked like someone had kicked Lucifer, "Hey you alright dude?"

Want me to come by and we can get ready and go out? We can walk around town until we find something to do. Its New York City on a Friday night!! Ashlee replied to Evelyn grinning, the two of them hadn't really had a proper girls night out anyway, it would be fun to go out on the city.

Like Blair and Serena in Gossip Girl hell maybe they might meet a few jet setters.

Luke laughed. James was in his element here. "So who's the fourth guy, Joel? Meet him yet?"

Seth glanced up at Jake and debated telling him but then thought better of it. It was over and done with anyways. "Yep," Seth said, putting on his usual grin. "So when is our floor party, dude?"

"How many parties do you plan to attend this weekend?" Ashton asked, as Lucifer strolled into view and attempted to trip Jake.

Evelyn grinned and replied, Can we dress up? I havent really dressed up in ages. Yeah, lets go do something!

She definitely needed to take the edge off of herself. She'd been so freaking jumpy talking to James, and she didn't have to be that way. He'd done nothing to cause that. It had been the other jackass.

Joel gave a quick nod and smiled.

"Yeah, I don't know if you guys remember Taylor Keeps from high school, but he's our fourth. We figured since we're both native New Yorkers, it'd probably be cool to come back for college, you know?" Joel said with a chuckle. "He's actually sleeping right now after our long ass trip, but I'm sure he'll be down to party.

Hell yeah girlfriend! I'll bring out my best outfit and you get all dressed up too! We'll stroll around, maybe even hit the Upper West Side, check out on the cute jet setting boys, have a couple of cocktails. Be all fancy! ;D

Ashlee was so excited, this was just the kind of night that should happen! Her and Evelyn were two pretty single girls and this city was going to be their oyster tonight.

"Dude we should have mercy on our floor, they know enough about us." Jake laughed, and then stretched, "But I think ours might be next weekend or something I don't know I haven't looked into it, but I know they usually don't have more than one or two during the weekend."

"Alright, party whooo! Hey I wonder if we have hot girls on our floor." James smirked, remembering the annoyed blond girl on the elevator, despite her being annoying, if he hadn't dropped his box on her foot she so would have given him his digits.

"Carrie's friends are on this floor," Luke said amused. "She's probably going to be there." He threw a furtive glance at Joel. "Are you planning on enjoying bachelorhood?"

Seth nodded and got up, heading to his room. He felt kind of bad, all of a sudden, and wondered if he should tell Jake he might have freaked out the redhead more than he intended. But Jake didn't need reminding of her. Not tonight. Seth pushed it out of mind.

"I'm gonna crash for a bit. I woke too early and class was a torture."

Ashton frowned after him, surprised. Seth sleeping on a Friday? This was new. He shrugged and turned to the others. "What'd you wanna do till then?"

Evelyn laughed and replied, Im not boy huntin. Not atm. But u can n we'll still hav fun. ;D

She'd had enough of boys to last a lifetime. Or six. She figured she'd get a head start on her homework. Weekends were too unpredictable here.

Joel laughed some and grinned.

"I've been enjoying it for awhile if you ask me." He said, which, in all honesty he had been. Of course he loved having a girlfriend in high school and if he and Alexis hadn't broken up, they might have been together still, but at the moment Joel was enjoying his single life and the freedoms that came with it. He liked being able to go out with different girls, heck, he didn't even mind hooking up with a few of them. Overall, he was trying to live it up to the fullest.

Evelyn had been right they both had been kind of wrapped up in the boy aspect of the single girl thing, they should just go out and have fun tonight and look good!

You're right forget the boys tonight, tonight its just us girls having fun! We'll do our make up cute, our hair all nice and dress our best!

"Yeaaaah that's what I'm talking about! Dressing up sharp, and having fun! We're gonna party!!" James said doing a little dance, he was excited. Despite what had happened on Tuesday with Evelyn he knew he wouldn't be seeing her tonight so he could push any thoughts about her aside and just enjoy himself with Luke, and hell even Joel seemed a bit more down to party and have fun.

Jake shrugged and went into the kitchen out of boredom he started opening all the drawers, and in one drawer he found a few Rubics Cube's in there, he wondered how those got there because he was sure none of them would ever even own one of those things. It probably was the people who lived in their dorm before them.

Jake pulled three out, and sat down on the counter and tried to solve the thing.

Antonio saw Jake, trying to solve the Rubics Cube and walked over to him grabbing one of them off the counter and examined the thing, "Hey whoever finishes their first get's ten bucks." Tony suggested.

"You're on!" Jake smiled, working faster to finish it before him.
