"Now you're angry," Seth said, still holding onto Jake's shoulders as a wide grin slipped on his face. "Rile that fire, bro! Anger gets you results!"

Evelyn tried not to flinch as Nova chewed through the side of her bag - into her skin! She tried to shift her bag subtly away from her in the cramped elevator, and tried to hide her look of pain. What was WITH him?!

When the elevator reached the fifth floor, she all but fell out of it in relief, holding her bag away from herself. Was he hungry? Losing a tooth? She didn't know about dogs as much as she ought to. Jake was always the authority on that!

Hell if she was going to him. She gritted her teeth and carried her bag at a distance from her body as she walked down the hallway.

Jake grit his teeth trying to break out of Seth's grip, and lifted his arms gripping on Seth's shoulders painfully, "Seth, anger will get you to your room through the walls."

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth took one long look at the Spaniard - and then let go and burst out laughing. "Damn, you're easy to rile. No wonder Red kept doing it!"

Jake got up instantly brushing himself off, and straightening his shirt. He just scowled at Seth and was actually really tempted to hit him in his laughing face but he knew he'd regret it later, then again...

Jacob restrain yourself, deep calming breaths? Woo sa?

Jake hoped his conscience knew that he was giving him a real dirty look, so instead of breaking Seth's teeth. Jake just shoved Seth as hard as he could and yanked on his hoodie and exited their suite. He needed to get out of there.

If this was supposed to stop Seth from laughing, all it did was set him off yet again. Jake was such a kid sometimes. He acted all mature, but then he had his turn-abouts in moments like this.

"My hoodie's better than yours!" Seth called after him, adjusting his hoodie again. "Bitch!"

No answer. Jake had left the suite. Seth sincerely hoped he hadn't gone to bully poor Asian nerds again!

Well, actually no, he didn't hope that at all. He could care less. His only concern was angry Jake punching a rent-a-cop and getting arrested.

Boy, his mom would flip her shit to Hoboken.

Evelyn dropped Nova home, grabbed her wallet and purse, and retying her wrap and tucking her straying ponytail into shape, headed down the hallway again. So she was aware Alexis disapproved of Rose's date. But this wasn't gold digging. This was just Seth taking her out.

Jake shoved his hands in his pockets and stormed down the hall, putting his hood up over his head as he headed for the elevator. He didn't feel like being around his roommates all they kept doing was harassing him about his feelings for Evelyn. Couldn't they just leave him alone? Didn't Seth have that stupid Rose girl to fawn over? Since when his failing love life the topic of everyone's conversations.

Jacob looked forward trying to shove thoughts out of his head, not really paying attention.

[Tiger-Lily]

With no Nova to bark a warning, Evelyn, busy texting, didn't even see him. She skirted past the stairwell, heading for the elevator and punched the call button.

Unfortunately, right when she did, it wasn't the call button she ended up jabbing at. It was Jake's ribcage right when he got there.

FML. I'm gonna die! Evelyn concluded, jerking backwards clumsily. "Shit."

Jake drew in a sharp breath, he coughed for a moment his hood fell off his head, "My bad I-- oh shit." He cursed matching the familiar voice he looked down to see the bronze haired girl that him and Seth had just been discussing.

Jake reached forward pressing the call button silently.

Evelyn opened her mouth automatically in apology for possibly maiming him yet again (what number were they at?) but then one glance at his blank face shut her up.

She stepped back away from him to give herself some distance, feeling her cheeks warm. Ah shit, she'd have to share an elevator with him?!

The alternative was taking the stairs. Evelyn cast them a glance and her exhausted body began aching wearily instantly. With her weird new tendency to weaken at weird moments, she'd had to stop going on runs and stopped using the stairs altogether. Evelyn bit her lip and resigned herself to taking the elevator. She rubbed at her tired eyes, stifling a yawn, and leaned back against the hallway wall at a safe distance from Jake.

The doors Dinged open. Evelyn shoved herself off the wall and followed him inside, taking the spot as far from his as possible in the tiny space.

Her mind suddenly went back to her last memorable elevator ride with him and James. Particularly the way it'd ended when James had run off that cute fireman....

Evelyn massaged her forehead wearily, stifling another yawn, and tried to push those thoughts out of mind. She'd been an idiot then, susceptible to romantic whims.

Jake took the opposing corner of the elevator, hitting the button for the lobby before he did, he leaned against the wall and glanced over at Evelyn. She seemed really tired, like she had been doing work outs or something along the lines of that. She seemed pale, and a little sick like she would pass out or something.

Jake figured it was probably because of stress or something. With finals and crap. Still even in her worn out state Evelyn still looked pretty, Jake averted his stare to the ceiling, and suddenly he remembered the last time they were in this elevator it nearly fell and he was dancing on top of it.

He cracked a small grin at that, but the rest of the elevator ride wasn't as pleasant, plus everything that had happened afterward was just one huge downward spiral.

The elevator began its slow ride down to the lobby and as much as he wanted to not say anything he really couldn't help but ask her, "You alright? You kind of look like you're gonna pass out."

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn blinked open her eyes, startled. Was the one-month-silence over already? Her eyes met his briefly before she averted them, feeling a familiar yet sickening jolt in her insides.

Before she could help herself, she blurted out cuttingly, "No, it's the sheer magnitude of your glorious presence that completely overwhelms a mere mortal like me."

[Guest]

Jake raised an eyebrow at Evelyn, he honestly wasn't expecting her to turn into a bitch so quickly, Jesus.

"Wow, really? I was just asking if you were alright, I forgot that even being a little kind to you at all was against the law. I take back what I said, hope you pass out." Jake snapped.

[Tiger-Lily]

"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" she said, remembering the last time they'd talked - at that damn bonfire. She felt fully entitled to piss him off. Evelyn narrowed her eyes at him across the way-too-tiny space. "Then you wouldn't be forced into acting human at all."

[Guest]

"That and maybe I just might think of bringing you back to life. A little mouth to mouth, then again you're probably diseased. Don't wanna catch whatever bug crawled down your throat." Jake narrowed his eyes right back at her.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn gaped at him, feeling her face turn bright red. She pushed herself off the wall and glared at the asshole. "Oh really? The last BUG was a douche of Spanish origin!"

[Guest]

"Really?! Maybe you need to stop hanging around these Spanish douchebags then! Then again the last bug I got was from some stupid Irish Elf, shoving cupcakes up my nostrils!" Jake pushed himself off the wall and glared down into her emerald eyes.

Evelyn set her jaw stubbornly, stepping forward. Hell if he thought he was intimidating her! "Well evidently said elf didn't shove them in the right spot. Your insides are still as bitter as acid waste!"

[Guest]

"Yeah and clearly the Spanish bug, missed his target. Because you're still BREATHING!" Jake yelled, flailing slightly.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Trust me....IT ISN'T SPANISH!" Evelyn snapped angrily, raising her voice over his. "It's my bad LUCK. Manifested into human form, which is YOU."

[Guest]

"OH WELL THERE IS SOMETHING WE CAN BOTH AGREE ON! CAUSE YOU'RE MY BAD LUCK MANIFESTED AS WELL!" Jake shouted, no longer caring if people in Canada could hear him, and flicked her head before setting his arms down by his side.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn gaped at him as if he'd offended an entire nation by worshiping the wrong deity. She glowered and shoved him back away from her, which made it way easier to breathe if she were honest. "Don't TOUCH me! I don't want whatever bug YOU have!"

[Guest]

"I'm not the one with the bug, you sicko!" Jake snapped, and instead of keeping his distance he closed the space between them in the tiny lift and put her in a headlock and gave her a noogie.

[Tiger-Lily]

"Asshole! Idiote! Connard! Dumbshit asshat!" Evelyn raged angrily, squirming for a fruitless moment. He was bigger than her and it was just near impossible to get free.

And then she brought her foot down on Jake's hard, crushing his toes through his sneaker.

"OWWW!" Jake yelled, "BITCH! Bruja TOAD! OGRE!" He listed all the names he could think of off the top of his head, his foot was throbbing since she pretty much broke his damn foot! He reached over and yanked on her hair.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn replied by simply digging her fingernails into the hand he had tangled in her ponytail. She flashed him a dangerous, victorious smile. "I'm about to make you cry."

She paused, feeling a sudden wave of exhaustion seep over her, and her grip on his skin loosened as she slumped back into the wall.
