Evelyn glanced up at James at last, anger sparking in her green eyes. Luke watched with interest.

"Alexis," Evelyn informed James coolly," doesn't want to go with you. She just doesn't want to go period. She thinks dances are stupid. If you really like her, you'll respect that and realize you don't ahve a date either, fathead."

"Oh right because the boys are lining up to date your bitter shrew disposition?" James retorted, quirking an eyebrow up at her.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn lifted her head and gave him a cool look, amusement in her gaze now. "Apparently, it's not my bitter shrew disposition that matters to them." Her tone made it clear she knew exactly what did matter to her horny law school classmates.

She flipped her ponytail over her shoulder and resumed working. Luke was grinning now, and lifted a foot to nudge James. "She has a point."

"You sure any of them would still go for you, after you were spoken for by me?" James grinned.

Evelyn glanced up at James, blood rushing to her cheeks, and hastily looked away. He had a major point...

I freaking hate him! She bit the inside of her cheek and said shortly, without looking up from her books, "I doubt that'll matter. I'll just tell them you were my psychotic, possessive ex."

"Yeah but all your classmates loved me, then again who wouldn't love me? Only a fool like yourself." James said folding his hands behind his head and resting on her couch.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn glanced up from her Facebook, wide-eyed. "Oh, I'm sorry, is the rejection still stinging?"

Luke was on his phone on his FB app. And horrified. But he opted not to say anything.

"No but do you need to have your new lover Jacob come here and fight me?" James said coldly to her as he typed away on his phone.

[Tiger-Lily]

Luke blinked.

Evelyn paled and sat up. "W-what?" she asked, having just said goodbye to Jake on FB. An uneasy knot tightened in her stomach.

What had Jake meant about James hitting on her? How the hell did he know if James had anyway?

Ashlee's status came to Evelyn's mind, her and James' fight on there...Oh hell.

"Jake isn't coming over here," she told James firmly. "So you don't need to run and hide."

James rolled his eyes, "Please I could take him any day. Then again, of course you would settle for him. Alexis is lucky she got me instead of you."

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn felt a flare of anger in her stomach. "You couldn't take him in all the fights you've had. And why do you always justify insulting me means you beat him or something?"

[Guest]

James just shrugged at Evelyn, " I don't, I'm just saying instead of actually having gotten with someone who wasn't a criminal like him, you chose him over a bunch of other decent guys. It just says a lot about you doesn't it?"

[Tiger-Lily]

"Why are you always dragging this back to me and him?" Evelyn asked flatly, not wanting to talk or think about the Spaniard.

She flipped a page in her textbook, reaching up and undoing her hair tie to run her fingers through her unruly hair as it tumbled to almost mid-back. It was definitely longer than it had been in September, she thought ruefully. She recalled Ashlee telling her to grow it out again. It was definitely warmer in winter.

James paused for a moment watching Evelyn fix her hair, he remembered running his hands through her hair.

Stop this, you like Alexis not her. She's not Alexis, she likes criminals

James shook himself out of his Evelyn haze, feeling a bit weird for feeling that way about her or seeing her like that when he liked Alexis, instead he just glared at her head. "You're just the queen of bad decisions is all I'm saying." He stated coldly.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn didn't even look up this time, frustrated now. Her fingers tightened on the pencil she was using for note-taking. Her knuckles were practically white.

Alexis had said she'd be coming home. Then this smart-mouthed James would leave her the hell alone!

She could feel James' eyes on her, though, that familiar icy blue gaze, and felt herself shiver in reflex. Not wanting to let him know he was getting to her, she kept her gaze down and said quietly, "No, ever since I've come here, I've made some of the best decisions of my life."

"Was that before or after you danced on a table half naked?" James asked bluntly.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn couldn't ignore this! She lifted her chin and glared at the brunet lying on her couch. "You didn't seem to mind it so much at the time!" she spit furiously, color rushing to her face.

Luke had fallen silent, now simply observing.

James just shrugged at Evelyn's snappy tone, "Oh well I guess just enjoying the show. You did get paid though, saw the money on the table, don't worry though a lot of girls do that to pay their way through college."

[Tiger-Lily]

"Oh, did your other conquests tell you that? So just because I danced on a table means I should swoon all over you?" she demanded, anger raising her voice. "Is that why you're so pissy, James?"

[Guest]

"The only person being pissy is you. You're just mad because I'm telling you the truth." James said not really caring what Evelyn had to say to him. He had Alexis now and honestly she really couldn't say anything anymore to bother him.

[Tiger-Lily]

"What truth?" Evelyn asked, glancing down at her textbook to prevent herself slapping him. "The truth about you being resentful you didn't win? You always were a sore loser, so I understand."

[Guest]

"At least I played until the end and didn't give up just because things got hard, like you always did and always do." James said recalling that anything having to do with them having a relationship Evelyn just wanted to throw in the towel, at least he was willing to try.

[Tiger-Lily]

Evelyn shot him a cold look this time. "It was never worth the hassle to be treated like your freaking porcelain doll."

[Guest]

"Right you'd rather be treated like crap, hence Jake." James replied.

[Tiger-Lily]

Finally Evelyn snapped, eyes darkening. "I'm not with Jake, happy?" she retorted angrily.
