Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jacob followed her, not because he wanted to further annoy her, okay maybe yes because he wanted to do that a little more, but she honestly looked like she was going to vomit, he realized though his little friend was slowing him down so he pulled the dog out of his jacket and decided he couldn't run all over Manhattan with a dog in his sweater, and he put the dog down, and the dog just ran to keep up with him.
Jacob also kind of wanted to make sure she didn't toss her cookies on the sidewalk, but for the most part he just wanted to poke fun at her.
"It takes more than a disease to make me run away Ev." Jacob shouted, to her running to her upon approaching the 7/11.

Re: Streets of Manhattan
You gotta be kidding me.
Evelyn turned around and almost toppled over, her head hurt so bad. She settled for leaning back against the wall of 7-Eleven so she could glare at Jake with ease as he ran up to her. There was a lip of a roof over her head, keeping her dry for the time being, and she breathed in and out slowly. Jake looked amused. The prick was toying with her, just like Seth had with Lola.
"If I throw up on you, will you stop?" she asked bluntly when he was close enough to hear without her having to yell. She leaned her head back on the wall behind her to look up at him without straining her eyes or neck.

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jacob looked down at her, and he asked, "Are you really gonna vomit, cause I kinda of don't want you to near me, cause I like the pants I'm wearing, oh and my shoes." Jake joked.

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Evelyn was suddenly tempted to throw up on his shoes. They looked too clean. She attempted to draw up any potential puke in her throat, but she wasn't that sick yet.
She gave up and narrowed her eyes. "Like i said, Pinky, go home. I can escort myself."

Re: Streets of Manhattan
"Pinky?" Jake said raising an eyebrow looking over himself, "Um in case you didn't notice I'm not wearing pink, Red, I'm wearing gray, clearly your disease is making you hallucinate."

Evelyn rolled her eyes and then stopped because it hurt her temples. "In case you didn't notice, I'm not a redhead," she replied, shoulders hunching inward as a gust of wind blew down the street and ruffled her wet hair. She shivered and decided she needed to lose Jake soon.
"And," she glowered, "it was a cartoon allusion. Since you're clearly the idiot here."

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jacob thought for a moment and it went off, "Oh right! The mouse from Pinky and The Barn I love that show! It's hilarious." Jacob snickered.

"You're a dimwit," Evelyn announced, pushing herself off the wall and shoving Jake out of her personal space. "And being around you makes my brain cells want to curl up and die. I'm going. Have fun with your friend."
Re: Streets of Manhattan
"Hey now, come on I'm not that bad." Jake said grabbing her arm gently, to stable her since she seemed a bit wobbly. "I'm just trying to make you feel better its not my fault you can't take a joke."

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Evelyn glared, thoroughly annoyed now. She yanked her arm free of Jake's and then wished she hadn't because she swayed and braced herself against the wall again.
Embarrassing much? Evelyn felt her cheeks redden. "Look," she said firmly, peering up at Jake, She was breathing heavily to keep her fever and temper in check, "I don't know what your idea of fun is, scaling a building maybe. You are clearly an unstable individual."

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jake shook his head, feeling a twang of guilt for bullying her since she was sick, "Hey careful there, you don't wanna topple over, why don't you just relax for a second before you go trudging through the city like Attlia the Hun."

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Evelyn's jaw dropped. He hadn't.
He had.
Before she could stop herself, her right fist swung out and caught Jake's lower jaw in a well-practiced right hook.
"Hun, huh?" she bit out, ignoring her hurting head. "How's that?"

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jake's head jerked hard to the right, the babe obviously had an arm on her, he rubbed his jaw, and felt it twitch and he snorted softly, "Hm nice right hook you have there, definite potential. I should know although I've been told I have a better hook with my left, but keep practicing Red and maybe one day you'll be as good as me." He said patting her on the head, trying not to laugh.

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Evelyn clenched her fists. And then she smiled because Jake's lower jaw was no longer an even tan. She detected a hint of purple bruising.
Evelyn reverted back to her old snide self. "Aw, Jake, your face isn't quite as pretty over there." She reached out and pinched the bruised skin on his face tightly with a finger and thumb so it reddened and inflamed.
The dog at their feet barked.

Jake winced as Evelyn pinched his bruised skin , "Ah!" He pulled himself away, from her and without thinking he yanked at her hair.

Evelyn gritted her teeth and stomped on his foot.
And then realized she wasn't wearing heels so nothing happened. She threw her hands up in frustration and shoved Jake away from her, cheeks reddening in rage. "Okay, seriously, what the hell is your problem? Are you trying to die? Because if so, I'll wring your neck right here."

"Ha yeah, I'd love to see you try babe, you got lucky with that punch but you'd be lucky if I let you get away with that again." Jake said glaring at her.

Evelyn crossed her arms over her jacket, fixed a sneer on her lips and glowered up at him. "Yeah?" she said, sinisterly softly.
Re: Streets of Manhattan
"Yeah." Jake said dropping his voice and closing the space between them, his brown eyes smoldering at her green ones.

James alert, Evelyn's instinct screamed. She cringed her jaw and didn't move an inch away from Jake. "Tell me," she said quietly instead, mimicking his move and drawing closer.
Jake's face was about two inches away. Evelyn smiled falsely, green eyes dancing as she continued. "The incisor or that left canine? I can break both."

Jacob felt his jaw twitch, and he responded, "I'd break your hand before you even lifted a finger." He threatened her.

"Too late, I already punched you," Evelyn snapped, pushing him back to give herself breathing room. She massaged pain out of her forehead. He was worsening her headache. "And can you not respect personal space?"
Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jacob blinked his eyes a couple of times and then narrowed them at Evelyn, "Seriously? How can one person be so annoying?!" Jake threw his hands in the air frustrated with her.

Evelyn decided she'd had enough of his ungodly presence. "You're telling me, Sally," she snapped, using Lola's nickname for him. Evelyn edged herself away from her spot between Jake and the wall, feeling flustered and delirious. She knew she'd regret blowing up at him come morning. But it was her headache talking.
She sneezed as she stepped around him, deciding she'd head into the store and get some NyQuill.

Re: Streets of Manhattan
Jake scowled, making a mental note to kick Lola for saying that around other people, "Don't call me that! You know what... " Jacob stopped and looked at her, she really did look terrible and them fighting like this wasn't making her feel any better, although he was pretty pissed that she managed to clip him in the jaw.
He sighed figuring they could have this argument another day where he could actually harass her and not feel entirely bad about it, "Listen I don't do this, alright but ..." He took a breath, looking up and then back at Evelyn, "I'm sorry."
