Evelyn had suspected it would after she heard a couple people in her classes asking Connor about it. "I find it weird that nobody noticed the Private Event listing it was under on Facebook," she said, grinning as she flicked on the TV. She had rented a bunch of movies earlier and she now peered at them. "Hmm...Hey, there's a copy of Casablanca, but it's like three hours long. Um...the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie?"

Ashton was glaring openly at Seth, who was now skateboarding away to the tiny room that served as a rooftop storage. He began climbing up on top of it.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Ashton demanded. Seth placed his skateboard down on the roof of the tiny room and placed a foot on it. He cracked a smile down at them and then eyed the bonfire a few meters away.

"Watch this!"

"Oh no," Ashton muttered to Jake, backing away from the unlit bonfire heap. "He's not -"

"WHOOOOOO! YEEAAAHHH!!!" Seth hollered, kicking his board forward and skateboarding off the roof of the tiny storage room. He flew through the air, flipped his skateboard backwards, caught the end with one hand and righting it, slammed his feet down on it again as he flew over the bonfire and landed on its other side with a loud THUD!

His momentum kept him going. He crashed headlong into the neat pile Ashton had stacked out of the spare wood, disappearing under it. "Owwww!" His head popped up amidst the logs, looking dazed. "Daaayumn, that was fun!"

Ashton slapped a hand over his face. "God, grant me the patience to not shove Seth's head into the fire before the night ends," he muttered.

Alexis slipped away to go shower, and hoping Rose would manage to come tonight because .. well she just hoped. She grabbed an gray off-the-shoulder knit sweater with an undershirt, her dark wash skinny's and went off to take a quick shower, figuring she'd just take her time if nothing else, because this thing with Seth was going to either be, A. boring. B. annoying. C. all of the above.

"Oooh I love me some Johnny Depp." Ashlee nudged Evelyn.

"Amen." Jake nodded gritting his teeth, he went to the wood pile and yanked Seth out from under it, "God Seth, people aren't even here yet and you've already managed to ruin crap." Jake said picking up all the fallen logs and rearranging them.

Antonio had been watching Seth fearfully. Between Seth and Jake, Antonio was gonna die of a heart attack before his twentieth birthday, "Dude please I beg you. No more extreme stunts for the night, my heart can't handle it anymore." Antonio pleaded the fallen Seth.

Evelyn glanced at the bathroom door and then started the movie, plopping down beside Ashlee on the couch and tucking her bare feet under her. "I'd pick Jack Sparrow over Will any day," she said. "He's much more fun!"

Seth straightened his hoodie, grinning devilishly at Antonio. "No promises," he said truthfully. He plled back his sleeve and checked his watch. "Hey - it's nine. people are gonna be here soon!"

"I'm gonna go get the food. Come with me, Tones," Ashton said, deciding a walk would help his poor twin. He dragged Antonio with him back to their suite to grab the bags of junk food and soda.

Seth watched them leave and glanced at Jake. "Are we getting wasted tonight? And I might have overlooked this but, didn't you ditch those fangs last year? They really don't work with your clown face, bro." he slapped Jake's shoulder and sat down on a folding chair.

Luke and James headed for their suite upon arriving home. Luke checked his watch. "Should head upstairs a little late," he said. "Seeing as you tend to make an entrance."

"And way cuter, I mean Orlando Bloom is cute and all. But Johnny Depp is so fun." Ashlee gushed, as they watched Captain Jack Sparrow flash up onto the screen.

"Lucas you know my entrances are very important." James stated going to his room to change his shirt, since they had been running around all day and grab a warmer hoodie to wear while they were on the roof.

Antonio followed his brother, relieved to get away from the insanity for like ten minutes was what he needed.

Jacob snorted, "Dude you totally missed it. I was real bored today with Ash while you were gone, and I literally scared the crap out of Tony. It was so freaking funny. I put in the fangs and bit into a ketchup packet and took the butcher knife and like went in Tony's room and jumped on his bed and yelled that I killed Ash and he was gonna die next. He screamed so loud. I nearly died laughing. You should have been there! Anyway yeah, now they're stuck in here. I forgot that last year when I wore them I had to have my dentist take them out so they're here until Monday." Jacob grinned his fangs poking into his bottom lip and he winced a little.

"But Will has the accent!" Alexis called from the bathroom, removing her make up for redoing it later.

Rose knocked on the dorm door, rocking on her feet.

The party was in full swing. A little too much swing, Ashton thought irritably. Who the hell were half these people?!

Seth was realizing they were running out of food. He hadn't exactly planned for fifty people to show up! From hsi spot on the storage room roof, he perched beside his skateboard and examined the vast roof, where torches illuminated bunches college kids, most of whom were huddled around the roaring bonfire.

He had to admit, this was excellent, food aside.

Seth's blue yes scanned the crowd for his friends and found them near the food table. Ashton looked annoyed as he talked to Jake over the loud music blaring from the stereo. So far, none of the girls they'd actually invited seemed to be here.

"We're almost out of food. What now?" Ashton asked Jake. "And some guys brought up a beer keg! Just thought you should know."

"You guys ready to go?" Evelyn asked as she stood by the door, buttoning her cardigan over her scarf. She zipped on her camel-colored boots and ensured her hair was moussed down and tamed because she'd made the stupid decision of leaving it down. She picked up the bottle of liquor they'd gotten from Connor, which now had the love potion inside it.

"Let's go, princess!" Luke hollered to James. "I think we're late enough."

"Ready if you both are." Ashlee said pulling out a black scarf from her purse and wrapping it around her neck, and zipping up her hoodie.

James strolled out of his room with a smirk on face, "Ready to go loyal subject. "

Jacob had been too busy scanning the area for a certain redhead, he had sort gotten startled when Ashton had shouted to him. Damn almost out of food and all these people, he really hoped that they weren't going to get busted.

He just grinned at Ashton, "Hey what's a bonfire without a keg? Dude I don't know about food though, I guess people are gonna starve. Or if you want one of us can make another food run."

Connor had already headed up to the roof without the girls, like the gentleman he was and was probably off with some Eeyore already.

Alexis was shoved out of her dorm room by Rose and flipped her off, messing with her hair which she had messily spiked up at the ends. "Yeah, we're ready apparently."

Rosemary grinned and patted her back. "Love you too, BFF."

"Oh, wow, I feel underdressed," Evelyn commented, eyes widening when she took in the other three girls' outfits and makeup. All she had on was lipgloss and liner! Which she usually wore to school anyways.

"Ooh, you guys go ahead. I'm gonna grab Nova's leash," she added, remembering she'd asked Carrie to watch him for her. "I have to stop by Carrie's suite. I'll meet you upstairs."

She headed toward her room and found the puppy tangled in a jacket of hers. Evelyn grinned, knelt down and started to disentangle him.

Luke rolled his eyes, accidentally-on-purpose nudging James into the wall as they walked to the stairs. He sped up and took them two at a time, smirking.

Seth was now swinging his feet over the edge of the storehouse roof and flicking though his phone absently. Down below, Ashton said,"I can make a quick run to the store. Again. Who're you looking for?"

He glanced around as a familiar brunet passed him. Ashton reached up and yanked at Seth's foot. "Oy, Connor's here!"

Seth glanced up adn hsi eyes alighted on the beer keg two boys had just placed down near the food table. "And so's th ebeer!" He left hsi skateboard up on the storehouse roof and leaped down, landing beside Jake and strutting over to the keg.

"Move aside, bitches!" he informed the two guys by the keg, cutting the line that was forming.

One of them glared. "We brought it!"

Seth sneered down at him. "To MY party. Now either move aside or fuck off." Without waiting for invite, he grabbed a red cup and began filling it for himself. The boys grumbled under their breaths but said nothing.

Ashton shook his head and headed downstairs. "Watch the moron!" he called to Jake.

Jake nodded as he attempted to yank out his fangs again, keeping an eye on Seth and Connor. Knowing these two were together meant disaster was never far away. Jacob strained to try and remove them but the damn things were stuck.

Jacob decided to give up for now and went to Seth and smacked him on the back, "Is that anyway to talk to your guests who provided you with alcohol. You really are a terrible host. Has living in endless wealth taught you nothing?"

"Okay see you up there Ev!" Ashlee waved at her following Alexis and Rose out of their suite as they headed to the party.

James narrowed his eyes at Luke, matching his stride he jumped up a couple of steps smacking Luke upside the head as they made their way to the bonfire.

Seth glanced up at Jake, swigging down his beer like it was water. "I have manners," he said, "I just choose not to employ them at a bonfire." He finished his glass and refilled it, yet again butting in.

A girl in the front of the line glared at him. Seth sent her a smirk as he filled up a second glass, aware that the boys who had brought the keg were getting madder and madder.

Seth turned and handed the second cup to Jake, smacking his own against it. "Cheers." He glanced at the fire where people sat in groups, huddled together to stay warm. "Whoa, gettin' a little rated there." He sniggered, nodding to a couple by the fire who looked so closely entwined, hands under each others' clothing, that it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began. People around them looked disgusted and uncomfortable.

Seth grinned widely at Jake. "Watch this!" He swished his full cup of beer and walked up behind the couple, carelessly tipping it all onto their heads.

They shrieked and pulled apart. The guy flipped Seth off. "What the fuck's your problem?"

Seth raised an eyebrow. "Evidently it ain't being so desperate to get some, I go at it in public with Buck Toothless here."

The girl beside the guy gasped, eyes tearing up. The guy gritted his teeth and stood up. Seth examined him with interest.

He held out his empty cup happily. "Can you get me some more beer?"

"FUCK YOU!" the guy roared, leaping over his seat and lunging at Seth.

"Yeah, didn't think so," Seth muttered, grinning as he ducked into the crowd.

Evelyn had Nova's leash clamped on but at the last second, she faltered.

After a moment, she unclipped the leash, locked the front door and sat down on the couch, taking her boots and beanie off as she flicked on the TV. She picked Nova up and sat him on her lap as she flicked to some late-night movie.

So she was being kind of a coward, but she really didn't want more drama at this point. Going there was just asking for it. Maybe she'd go in a while, when everyone was too drunk to notice her.

Luke would have retaliated but they reached the roof entrance and he pulled faces at James as they walked in. "Holy shit, I didn't think it would be this huge."

There were about a hundred kids, it seemed, there. In reality, Luke guessed there were maybe fifty but in the dark, it was hard ot tell. Mostly they were freshmen and he recognized many from his music classes. They miled aorund with cookies and red cups in their hands and a keg stood near the food table - which looked shockingly empty.

The bonfire roared cheerfully, casting a warmth over the scene. Luckily the roof was expansive so there was plenty of room to dance, and a whole bunch of people were doing that by the stereo which blasted Usher into the air.

"There's Ash," he said, nodding at the raven-haired girl just near the entrance. Luke frowned.

With Alexis? When'd that happen? And there was no bronze-haired girl in sight, which was even stranger.

"Whoa!" Jake grabbed a hold of the guy before he went barreling through everyone, "Hey listen don't mind him he's socially challenged. Just sorry okay, he's drunk and shouldn't have done that just hang out with your girl alright? I'll handle him." Jake tried to calm the guy down he seemed alright and went back to sitting with his girlfriend or whoever she was.

"Doth my eyes deceive me, Sally being a peace maker?" He heard a familiar voice chirp. Jacob looked down and saw Lola and he smiled going up to her giving her a hug.

"You have no idea what's been going on Lo." Jake pulled away from her.

"Oooh do tell. I mean I haven't heard from you in like a month, I'm kind of offended." Lola scoffed, following Jake to edge so that they could both talk. If there was one person he needed to start seeing more of was her and less of everyone else.

James spotted Ashlee and waved at her, that was odd. Usually Evelyn and Ashlee were practically inseparable.

Ashlee saw them and waved, crossing through a few people she arrived near them, "Hey boys what's good?"

"Hey Ash." James greeted her, he wasn't sure if he should ask where Evelyn had been, but he figured it would come out soon enough.

Ashton returned at this point, weighed down by bags of food and was received with much applause from the hungry crowd. He grinned ruefully and made his way past Luke and James, paused and then blinked. James?

He bit his lip, tensing slightly, but simply nodded at him and Luke. "Oh, hey, Ashlee!" he said, cheering up slightly (because he had the feeling this night wasn't going to end so well). He set his bags down by the food table and began unloading the food and drinks.

Luke had nodded at Ashton and then noticed his pleased smile. He raised an eyebrow at Ashlee after Ashton left. "So?" Luke asked, grinning. "Did I miss something?"

Ashlee felt butterflies in her stomach, it had been a while since that had happened she smiled at Ashton and waved back at him, casting her glance back up at Luke, "No just saying hello to a friend."

James noticed how Ashlee seemed to have lit up once Ashton returned and nudged her, "Uh huh, sure." He winked.

"Stop it! You guys are so embarrassing; he's right there!" Ashlee blushed, smacking both of their hands.

So after Jacob had finished the incredibly long story to Lola, she just stood there as the both of them looked out past the city and looked up at her tall best friend. Apparently she had missed out on so much. She knew that Jake liked Evelyn but she didn't know that his feelings ran that deep for her, and even after all the things apparently that had been said to each other, and even what happened just last night for him she was surprised that his feelings for Evelyn were that of liking someone as opposed to hating them.

"Damn Sal." Lola finally said after a long pause between them.

"I know right?" he said taking a sip from his beer.

"He can't hear us," Luke reassured Ashlee, slinging an arm around her with a huge grin on his face. "So I take this to mean we're onto something, huh? I'm hurt, really, you didn't tell us!"

Across the roof, Seth had returned to his rooftop perch beside his skateboard. He could see everything from his spot, at least, as well as he could in the darkness. His eyes skipped from Jake and Lola by the railing to Ashton setting out food to Antonio, to Connor, and then closer down to....James?

"You gotta be kidding me," Seth muttered, feeling his temper flare. He clenched his jaw and then figured he'd pick a fight later.

Seth got to his feet and walked to his skateboard. He mentally tracked his route with his eyes.

Yeah, he was gonna collide straight into Antonio near a bunch of people. Excellent.

Seth grinned and kicked forwards, flying off the edge of the storehouse roof with a loud whoop. "WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"HEADS UP, TIGGER!" he hollered, flipping the board once, twice, catching it with his hand and righting it, and finally landing with a bang in the midst of a group of boys who scattered. Seth skidded forwards on his skateboard, bending low as it skidded through the crowd and made a beeline for Antonio.

Luke jerked around, as did most people, as a silvery blur sped by overhead. "The hell?!"

Ashlee squeaked hopping out of the way, man she felt bad for whoever was going to get hit by Seth flying full speed on a skateboard.

Of course that was answered by a--

"FUCK GOD DAMN IT SETH!" Antonio yelled as the blond collided into him knocking him onto his butt, he fell on the ground pretty hard and he swore he could see stars! What the fuck, was it his and Jake's mission to try and kill him?!"

"FUCK YOU SETH! Seriously get off me!" Antonio pushed him off, snapping! There was only so much he was gonna sit there and take of this.

Jacob and Lola both looked up and gaped when they had seen Seth just crash into Antonio on his stupid skateboard and darted in between people to go to the crash sight.

Jake pushed through people and yanked Seth up onto his feet, "What the hell Seth!? What are you doing?!" Jake was now yelling at him too, "Dude are you okay?" Jake asked helping Antonio off the ground.

"Don't! Just seriously! Both of you leave me alone! There is only so much I can handle of you two harassing me and just fuck off alright?!" Antonio snapped yanking his arm back he stood up and wobbled a bit going to find some place to sit for a moment.

Jacob watched Antonio leave and his eyes narrowed to a glare at Seth, he knew that Jacob couldn't exactly lecture Seth for bothering Antonio since Jacob had been for the last three weeks or so but, they had both crossed a line with him today and yesterday in particular. Antonio was his friend even if Jake was mad at him and he hated they were pushing him around so much.

Seth cringed and flashed a meek grin at Jake. "Well, you can't say it isn't lively," he pointed out. True enough. People around them were still gaping wide-eyed. Seth grimaced. "I'll make it up to Tony," he added determinedly.

"Um, I don't think you should," Ashton commented wryly, appearing over Jake's shoulder. "Might be best if you both just left him alone."

Luke shook his head. "Is Seth mentally unhinged?" he wondered aloud. Then he glanced at James and then at Ashlee and finally blurted out what he knew James was probably wondering too. "Where's Evelyn, Ash?"

"She was literally right behind me, she said she was gonna grab her friend Carrie but she's still not here yet." Ashlee shrugged and pulled out her phone sending a quick text to her.

Jake let out a huff looking at Seth he just shook his head, he felt real bad for screwing with Antonio. He wanted to apologize to the guy but if it had been the other way around he wouldn't want to talk to anyone either. He looked away from Seth for a moment, and down at Lola.

"Hey can you--"

"I was going to ask you why the hell were you wearing fangs. Those were the ones you got stuck in your mouth last year right?" Lola snorted, motioning Jake to lower his head and he nodded.

"Same ones." He grinned.

"Okay hold still." Lola told him she curled up his lip and twisted the fake fangs, and yanked them out of his mouth pretty painfully.

"Ow!" Jake yelled covering his hand with his mouth, Lola holding the fake teeth in her hands.

"Serves you right, both you and Seth harassing poor Tony like that." Lola lectured him tossing the fake teeth in her purse, Jake just stuck his tongue out at her.

Jacob looked back at Seth, "We really need to quit screwing around with him. I feel like shit."

Seth looked away from the cute brunette he was checking out. "Who?" he asked, and then looked guilty. "That girl's hot."

Evelyn replied after a moment: I'll be up in a bit. Watching movie.

"What the hell?" Ashlee furrowed her eyebrows together. Why the hell was she sitting alone on a Saturday night watching a movie. Then it hit her it probably had to do with a certain Spaniard she had seen.

Ashlee rolled her eyes and texted back.

Ev I get u dont wanna be here w/ Jake but at least come up for like a half hour and hang w/ me and Luke. Plus you gotta leave that potion and crap. SO get your ass off the couch or so help me I will come down there and throw u over my shoulder -__- She sent.

Lola rolled her eyes, and pat Jake on the shoulder, "Please find him a girl and fast."

"While you're at it, how about finding Jacob a new one here. Preferably one that doesn't look just like me. Or hell maybe just one that will agree to be with him at all." An icy voice said smugly.

Jacob grit his teeth, and met the icy blue eyes of his bitchy ex. His mood instantly plummeted. Not that he was in too good to begin with, "When you realize that if you were to get hit by a bus I would probably be dancing on your grave?"

Evelyn sighed down at Ashlee's text message but was somewhat amused. Ashlee wouldn't really come down here....right?

Evelyn replied: I'll bring u the potion in a bit. Im not staying. On her lap, Nova snuffled in his sleep.

Luke blinked at Ashlee, amused. "Typical Evelyn reaction. And I thought I was bad."

Seth turned around and shot Rachel an amused glance. He said nothing, only sidling away while Rachel talked to Jake.

Seth butted aside the guy fiddling with the stereo and flicked to the right song himself.

The music stopped. A bunch of people groaned and Seth hit Play on the stereo as he walked back to Jake.

"Hey, Rachel!" he said brightly to the redhead. At that instant -

"WHO LET THE DOGS OUT? WHO, WHO WHO?" blared from the stereo speakers around them. Seth widened his blue eyes.

"Damn, looks like the stray-bitch squad is onto ya, babe," he remarked.

"Nosy." Ashlee remarked and decided to just leave Evelyn be. She could really be stubborn at times.

Jacob and Rachel both gaped at Seth. For once Rachel was rendered speechless, and Jacob wanted to go over there and praise Seth but all he could do was laugh out loud.

Rachel glared at Seth , "Says the convict."

"I'm not in denial," Seth replied cheerfully. "What're you doing here anyways? Came to grovel?"

Evelyn's movie ended (unfortunately) so now she couldn't lie to Ashlee about it and so she got up, holding the sleeping pup in her arms, set him down on the couch while she tugged on her boots and beanie again, and then picked Nova up along with her bag and the bottle of liquor, and headed out of the suite, glum-faced.

She climbed up to Carrie's suite, handed Nova off to her and then walked on up the next couple of flights to the rooftop entrance.

She was now roughly three hours late and her friends had already been here an hour. Whatever. Evelyn pushed through a gaggle of boys and girls near the entrance then blinked, amazed.

The roof was chock full of people! Had those boys planned for this?

Every girl seemed to be as dressed up as she might have been if she was aware she was going to a party, not a small gathering! Evelyn noted the heavy eye makeup and lipstick around her and felt severely underdressed. Whatever, she wasn't staying.

In the crowd, she looked around, wandering between clusters of kids in search of Ashlee. It was really hard to see anyone's faces though, and Evelyn doubted Ashlee would hear her if she called. She could have texted but people kept jostling her so she kept moving, nearing the blazing bonfire, and shivered, grateful for its warmth.

She peered around, noticing the keg nearby, and a familiar silvery blond head but couldn't see who Seth was talking to and she didn't really care enough to go say hello.

Evelyn sat down on an abandoned folding chair by the bonfire, its flames lighting her hair a brilliant orange-blond as she texted Ashlee, asking her where she was.

Evelyn looked around while she waited for Ashlee's reply, and spotted, to her surprise, a very annoyed-looking Antonio seated across the fire from her. Evelyn hesitated, biting her lip. She doubted she was hsi favorite person right now but he looked seriously miserable.

She got to her feet, still clutching the bottle of liquor and her bag, and walked over ot him, sitting down on the chair next to his and clearing her throat. "Hey. You all right?" she asked hesitantly.

Antonio heard a voice and cast a glance beside him and his eyes widened seeing Evelyn, right now he was just so annoyed that he just snapped at her, "Oh no! Listen just stay away from me alright?" Antonio rose up out of his seat.

He knew it was unfair that he was yelling at her like this but the last thing he wanted was Jake seeing him talking to her and then getting Seth to help him devise some plan to kill him.

"I'm sorry I talked to you. All this has done is create stupid drama and I don't want anything to do with it alright? So just do me a favor and stay away from me okay?" Antonio spat, getting up and leaving.

Ashlee was talking to James and Luke and pulled out her phone to check the time when she saw she had gotten a message from Evelyn. It was so noisy she hadn't even heard her own phone go off not that you could really hear too much at this kind of things anyway.

"Hey I'll be right back." She said to Luke and James, "Ev's here and I'm gonna find her and maybe we can all meet up and hang out for a bit." Ashlee excused herself disappearing into a crowd of people searching for her friend.
