Ashton got off his brother, frowning. "I think this is probably not the first such incident. Knowing Seth," he commented, reaching down to pull Antonio up. "Think he'll be okay?"

Antonio got up brushing himself off and he looked at his brother. Seth had really gotten under his skin the day before, and Jake had seemed a bit frazzled when he had returned so this on top of whatever was upsetting him he could see why Jake would be so mad.

Tony walked over to his closed door, and knocked on it lightly, "Hey guy you alright?"

"Fuck off!" Jake shouted from behind the closed door, Nova whining in his yelp and Jake pet his head softly to calm the pup.

Tony cringed and backed away from Jake's door, the guy really sounded on edge so he decided to give him his space, "Yeah... he's pissed."

Ashton frowned. He pulled out his cell and texted Seth, asking when he was going to come back.

Seth replied, "An hour".

"Huh," Ashton muttered. He sighed and went to clear up the dinner remnants. "It'll be fun living here, is all I can say."

Lucifer gave a purring meow at this, seated by Antonio's feet.

Jake sat in there on his laptop, Seth was kind of annoying him commenting on all his pictures and stuff and now he was chatting with on the chat. Although Seth was the last person he felt like talking to, he just wanted to sleep but of course he had to go on Facebook before he did, and Seth was talking about babysitting and getting revenge on Alexis for re-decorating his room.

It was this part of the conversation that gave him a sinking feeling in his stomach:

uhhh, were you with Red?


Jake's fingers hovered over the keys of his laptop and he typed in his response:

Me
No

Seth
*passes out in relief*

For once what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him, and he wasn't about to let him know how he had yet again spent the entire day with Evelyn.

After talking to Seth, Jake had closed the screen to his laptop and set it down on the floor and he stuck his arm under his head and fell asleep.

Seth wasn't typically one to involve himself in drama. Especially not when he was on such an adrenaline high. He didn't call himself an adrenaline junkie exactly...but he definitely loved it. And racing along crowded New York streets in his beloved Gallardo Spyder alongside another Lamborghini was something he hadn't done in a while.

But when he'd stepped off his subway train and begun heading for his dorm room, his mood had kind of dimmed. But it didn't really matter, he told himself, as the elevator took him up to the fifth floor. Wasn't Jake done with it all?

Seth reached the suite door and fumbled in his pockets for his keys - and recalled he'd lost his wallet. He gritted his teeth. He wasn't really in the mood to go pick a fight with Alexis, not after his happy high.

Had she taken his wallet? It had been in the drawer of his nightstand. If she'd done that to his room, there was a huge chance she had taken it. He'd get i back. Later.

Seth unlocked he door - luckily, he had his keycard on a separate lanyard to his car and house keys. If that bitch had gotten to these...

He entered and found the twins setting up a PS3 in the living room. Ashton was complaining about the dorm TV not being HD and therefore, ruining the awesomeness of PS3 gameplay. He nodded briefly at Seth, a grin lurking at his mouth.

"Jake's livid. I'd be careful," he remarked. Seth grunted noncommittally in response as he leaned down to pull Lucifer off his ankles, where the cat had attached himself. Seth stepped around him and veered down the hall to Jake's dorm room. The door was closed and knowing the autolock would have kicked in, Seth knocked swiftly on it.

"Feather delivery," he announced calmly, yanking the black feather with hints of aqua-gray at its tip out of his jacket pocket. Zeke's hawk, Tyro, was a gorgeous creature, much as Seth loathed it.

Tyro was also easier to babysit when he was out cold.

It wasn't really my fault, Seth thought, remembering elbowing the birdcage off its fancy pedestal and onto tiled flooring. Tyro had bashed his feathery head on the metal bars of his cage and suddenly was no longer squawking. Seth had flung a cupful of water at him but the bird didn't make another move to claw his eye out all night. Jake made me laugh too hard. He'd just sat the birdcage back on its stand and covered it with a sheet.

And then bolted.

Jake had somehow fallen asleep again, why was he so tired? He had slept like twelve hours earlier. Probably waiting for Seth he needed something to do since he was lack of phone at the moment.

He heard Seth's voice outside of his door and he yawned moving his arm where Nova had decided to make his temporary bed while Jake slept. He smiled down at the puppy and pet his head, putting him down carefully onto the bed so not to wake him. Poor dog probably has so much trauma having to listen to him and Evelyn fight.

Jake stumbled out of bed yawning he opened the door and saw his silvery-blond friend, "Yo." He said sleepily.

"You fell asleep again?" Seth remarked, amused. He charged past Jake to take over his desk chair. He spun it around and sat backwards on it, holding up the black feather. "There you go! Not even a wrinkle."

Jake gave him a lazy smirk, and took the feather from Seth's hand, it really had looked bad ass, he took it and put it on the drawer next to his bed and sat on the edge, "Yeah dude I don't know why I did. I need to do homework I'm so behind, but besides that how was babysitting? Did the hawk ever come to?" He asked remembering how Seth told him he knocked over the cage and put the bird into a coma.

Seth rested his arms along the back of the chair. "Nope," he said nonchalantly, laying his head on top of them. "Ash mentioned you were "livid", to quote him. You been sulking in here or what?"

Jake raised an eyebrow at him and just shook his head. He was angry earlier but most of it had worn off by now, now he was just content sort of, more so just trying to forget that he had kissed Evelyn... he looked at Seth, "Eh I was just annoyed, lost my phone had to pay your stupid fine for breaking the laundry machines. I was just having a bad day, and I needed like a freaking nap. I'm fine now. "

[Tiger-Lily]

"Oh shit, yeah speaking of fines, how much was it?" Seth asked, sitting up and plunging his hand into his pocket for..."FUCK!" he exclaimed, yanking his pockets inside out. "My wallet. Remember I mentioned it was gone? It was in the drawer in my nightstand...I have the bad feeling Alexis took it. That bitch."

[Guest]

Jake shook his head, "It was only fifty bucks. Don't worry dude its fine, and you really think she took your wallet? I mean I don't doubt it since you bug the hell out of her but... damn that sucks." Jake said feeling bad for Seth, she was probably maxing out his credit card as they spoke.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth swore in annoyance and yanked his phone out of his jacket pocket, flicking through till he found his bank's number. "Not if I can help it. At least she didn't get my license." The idea that he'd been racing around a city swarming with cops without his license, breaking a dozen driving laws, didn't really alarm him.

While the call went through, he looked up at Jake just as Nova began to stir at the noise. "Guess what, I was talking to James earlier. He sang down at that fancy restaurant at Rockefeller, apparently brought the house down. He says his friend's probably gonna have him sign up for that talent show. You have competition, guy. Those crusty ol' folks there aren't easy to impress."

Jake shrugged, indifferent. He honestly didn't know James could sing and its not like he cared too much about winning the damn thing it was just something to do in his opinion, but he was surprised nonetheless to hear that he had sang at Rockefeller, "Dude its not like there is some sort of grand prize, I'm just doing this for fun. So wait he actually sang there? What the heck was he doing there anyway?"

[Tiger-Lily]

"Going for dinner with friends," Seth replied, punching numbers as the phone menu told him to. "I just saw him out front actually. No, God dammit, 3 is German?!"

He hung up and called again.

"Ahh." Jake said reaching over the side of his bed and grabbing his laptop and backpack he figured since Seth was trying to infiltrate past German security he could at least do homework.

"So umm... what's in German? I thought all you fancy pants rich bitches have Swiss Bank Accounts?" Jake smirked, pulling his books out of his bag. Nova peering over the side of the bed, whimpering because he wanted to get down.

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth snorted. "No, the language selection thing, you know?" He glanced up at Jake and shifted, suddenly a bit uncomfortable. "So, um, James is suddenly hanging with Red. I just saw 'em on the quad when I walked home and they looked pretty friendly, if you get what I mean. What the hell happened? I get the feeling you did something today."

Jacob had been chewing on his pen cap when Seth told him this and nearly choked on it. He coughed spitting the thing out of his mouth, and looked over at Seth still coughing he took in a gasping breath, "Me?!" Another breath. "Why must you assume I did something?! I for once did nothing!"

He coughed a bit more before his breath returned and hoped that was a suitable enough answer for Seth's obnoxious prying nature, and he would just leave at that he didn't want to discuss this and if he found out that he had spent practically the whole day with Evelyn he'd freak out.

Seth shrugged, amused at Jake's discomfort. This guy couldn't lie to save his life. "Well, she was all holding hands with him and shit so I assumed you pissed her off after whatever happened last night..." he said recklessly.

The stupid bank put him on hold. Seth closed the call and flicked back to Facebook on his phone.

Why in the hell was Evelyn getting all cozy with James? As far as he knew they both hated each other and they had done a pretty good job the night before at pissing each other off. Obviously because his arm wouldn't be sprained if they were friends.

"Well I don't know why she's with him? Why would I know? I mean me and her are not speaking and whatever I did last night was because I was drunk." Jake said trying to read his book for English but failing.

The last thing he wanted was the truth to come out and right now he wasn't doing a good job at stopping that.

Seth bit his lip. He didn't really want to push Jake when Jake was so adamant in keeping him and hell, even Lola, out. So Seth just said, "Don't let her be another Rachel, is all I'm sayin', bro. That girl's already showing signs of her commitment issues."

Jake's grip tightened on his book, but he knew that Evelyn wasn't like Rachel. Rachel was crazy, where Evelyn... well she was bitchy, annoying, hard headed, stubborn, argumentative, and sometimes... not always, on rare glimpses when they weren't around Alexis, or Seth. Funny, sarcastic, feisty, and hell even nice.

Stop it. Stop it right now.

Jacob bit his lip, his dark eyes landing on Seth he just said his same repeated phrase, "Yeah I know Seth, trust me I don't want that at all."

[Tiger-Lily]

Seth met Jake's eyes seriously, for once no mirth in his expression. He leaned his head on his crossed arms again. "I know you don't want it, but..."

At that moment, Nova toppled forward off the bed. He hit the floor with a pained yip but then rolled to his feet like he was used to this.

Jake's steered his gaze to Nova who went off trotting around his room, after falling off his bed and he looked at Seth, without really meeting his eyes and raised an eyebrow, "But what?"

Seth shrugged. "It's none of my business. I'm just...I dunno. Doing my duty, I guess, and watching out for you since you're too thick-skulled to? But you know better than me where you stand with um...things. And you know better than me where you wanna go with them. I'm...okay, so uh..."

He shifted uncomfortably. "Lola and I were kinda worried. I'm telling you this now because you finally ended it with Red, but while you were doing that whole fake shit, we were kinda worried that um, you were getting too attached? Honestly, I wouldn't really care if you were into her, even if I don't see any redeeming quality there, but we just didn't want her to pull a Rachel on you." He paused and added apologetically, "That's kinda why I've been ragging on you two so much."
